I wanted a negative scanner that was portable, easy to use, and cheap. This is exactly that. It may not be the best for professional use, and the materials may not be the best, but I just started developing film and this is a great way to check your negatives quality without having to print them out. I can't say how well it does color, since I only shoot b&w right now, but I have no regrets in buying it.

I bought the Wolverine to scan boxes of slides going back about 30 years. The Wolverine is quick and easy to use. It starts quickly, loads the slides easily, scans quickly, and stores the JPEG files on a SD Card.
Unfortunately, the color is not accurate, and I am not able to adjust it to match what I see on the slide itself. It is not nearly as good quality as my other scanner, the Epson flatbed scanner Model 4490.

I converted both 35 mm slides & 110 slides & both came out very well. The color & intensity adjustments available are easy to use with a little practice & can really improve the picture quality. I could recover some pictures that I though were impossible to recover.

This digital Image Converter is really easy to use, it's fast and the quality is pretty good, especially for the price. I've been mostly scanning old slides and managed to go through hundreds of them with ease while watching TV.

Comments about Wolverine 20MP 35mm Film To Digital Image Converter:
So far I have converted over 900 slides to digital. The Wolverine converter has done the job with no problems. Any corrections to the color in the slides is accomplished by the converter, but not as well as a separate program. Some of my slides are over 35 yrs old and they have lost some of their original color. So far, no complaints.

Comments about Wolverine 20MP 35mm Film To Digital Image Converter:
I am using it to scan a large number of amateur slides into computer files. It is quick, and the resolution is adequate for viewing on a computer screen or projection. It probably is borderline for most prints. The color balance comes out a little off, and is not consistent. I am ASSUMING that I can correct it with Photoshop Elements. Also, the construction quality seems mediocre. Its adequate for the price. I recommended it, but with these reservations.

Comments about Wolverine 20MP 35mm Film To Digital Image Converter:
I'm not a real tech savvy individual so I was happy to find out that this product was essentially idiot proof. I've used the provided trays for both slides and negatives and both were easy to digitize. It takes about 3 to 5 seconds to digitize each image. Loading slides or negatives into the trays is a bit more cumbersome and I found it a bit difficult at times to get the tray to slide into the processing unit. I also found that the tray tends to lean a bit to the heavy side if you are processing the end slides (#1 or #4) or the end negatives. To prevent those images from keystoning I'd have to support the end of the tray. Color rendition and resolution is about what I expected although the image on the LCD leaves a lot to be desired. For many images I thought time had washed them out based on the LCD of the unit but when I took the image to my image processing software they looked fine.

I use this scanner to scan 20 t0 40 yr old film and slides that are in poor condition. I review and and make a digital archive of the scans. I do not use this scanner for serious work. It is faster, about 60 scans per 30 min., than setting up a light box and placing the slides to be reviewed .
The scanner outputs jpg, sRGB files, and a slide can be resized to 10x15" at 360ppi. The resulting files are an accurate representation of the original except for bright areas. Even with the EV adjustment these ares are prone to be overexposed.
I get better results with film than slides.
Overl all the scanner does an excellent job, and depending on the level of quality required this scanner could be the only one many people will need

Comments about Wolverine 20MP 35mm Film To Digital Image Converter:
The low cost of this little slide scanner is does a decent job. Don't expect super high resolution scans, like the type of thing you would get from a pro scanner, but if you have a bunch of old family pictures that you want to convert, then it's perfect. Not reccomended for professional artwork conversation, but great for just preserving old slides.
Quality is lighweight plastic in a weird orangy red, but no major functional problems.
All in all, for the money, it doe what it says it does.

When I first opened it, I thought "oh no!". It looked like a plastic toy. Unwilling to immediately admit I made a mistake, I plugged it in and tried it.
To my amazement it worked quite well. This affords me the opportunity to convert my thousands of negatives and slides to digital format. Does this mean that the photos might not need some adjustment in a program like "lightroom 4"? No. But it is good at what it was designed to do.
I am surprised, pleasantly so!

I used this product to digitize my fathers 1960's 35mm slides. I was able to clear 500+ slides in about 4 hours (1 minute per 4 slides). The Wolverine has fantastic image resolution and auto adjustments. Further I could invert, rotate, and even mirror the slide before capture if I put it in wrong the way. This saved me a huge amount of time. Now I am gifting it to my father-in-law to preserve his 2000+ library. These pictures are now part of our great family history - preserved.
