The Capture Camera Clip System with Dual Plate from Peak Design provides you with a unique and secure way to carry your camera without a traditional strap and fits most Manfrotto RC2 and Arca tripods. The Clip System is comprised of two pieces-a Clip and quick-release plate. The Clip can be attached to any strap, backpack strap, climbing harness, baby carrier or even your belt. Depending on your shooting preference, you can attach the system so it rests on your chest, hip or side.
To attach the system, unscrew the two coupling knobs on the Clip, fit the Clip under your strap or belt and tighten it down. The quick-release plate screws in to the tripod socket of your camera using an easy-to-use D-ring twist lock. Once the two pieces are attached, all you need to do is slip the camera into the Clip where it is securely held. It's a kind of lightweight holster that lets your camera safely hang from the strap, ready to unhook with the quick-release button when you need to shoot. If you're wearing a backpack with sternum strap, you can attach the strap across your camera for extra balance and stability.
The plate slides in 2 directions for ease of mounting. You can twist the plate horizontally or vertically to suit your preference. In the horizontal position, you can easily change lenses without removing the camera from the Clip. There is a twist lock for theft protection and added security when your camera is mounted to the Clip.
The unit is made from anodized weatherproof aluminum and weighs only 5.2 oz so it won't add much bulk to your load. If you prefer, don't use the Clip but only the plate that's attached to your camera to mount to a compatible tripod head equipped with a quick-release system.
The beauty of this system is that it eliminates the need for carrying a separate camera strap. Attach the Clip to one of your backpack straps and, with the camera mounted in the Clip, it will be held firmly at chest level ready to unhook with a simple pull. This system will also work with a hand strap by simply using the quick-release plate since there is a slot to attach the hand strap to the plate. The Clip is just as easy to remove when you're finished shooting for the day. The Capture Camera Clip System comes with a lifetime warranty from Peak Design.

Comments about Peak Design Capture Camera Clip System with Dual Plate:
This unit works great on a Nikon, unfortunately I have a Canon. The plate covers the battery door and has to be removed to change out batteries. I also have a rubber "armor" sleeve that wraps around the camera body that would hang up on the receiving end of the clip every time I tried to re-attach the two pieces. I love the concept of the unit and would have kept it but for my system (and accessories) it just did not do the job.

Works even with thick hiking backpacks (using osprey aether), I had to make the clamp screws quire a bit loose but you can tighten them down once you get it on to the strap, and it wont budge.

I saw this last year at the PMA show in las Vegas and was impressed with the inventor and his zeil in pushing the product. I forgot about it and then saw the logo at your web site and looked at it redefined and seems to be a better design now. Only one design origionally, now 2 designs. Works real good. getting another soon.

Most awesome camera accessory ever!!! I use a Canon 100-400 lens when out shooting wildlife and hiking. It can get very heavy dangleing around my neck, I was always looking for a way to clip my camera to my camera bag or even my pants. With the Capture Camera Clip System I am able to clip my camera to my over-shoulder bag and even to a belt loop on my jeans. I can't wait for the new Peak Design leash to come out for the added safety for my camera!

Comments about Peak Design Capture Camera Clip System with Dual Plate:
I do a lot of hiking and I am not crazy about keeping my camera around my neck while hiking, as the camera swings to the left and to the right with ever step, and then sometimes bounces off of my stomach. On the other hand, I dislike keeping my camera in my backpack, as taking the pack off and putting it back on is a pain every time I come upon a photo op. The Capture Camera Clip System keeps my camera attached to my backpack strap and ready for any opportunity that may arise. It removes quickly and when the camera is put back onto the clip, there isn't anything strong enough that will allow the camera to slip out, unless you push the red button. Also, the extra safety feature of another lock that makes sure the camera will not slip out gives the hiker a peace of mind while hiking, no matter how hard the terrain. Again, good product.
