Comments about Peak Design MiCROplate Quick-Release Plate ONLY:

I became a fan of the Peak Design Capture system on a holiday tour abroad. I quickly realized that belt mounting (which I expected to do) is impractical and uncomfortable (even with a m43 camera) and opted to mount the clip on a small vade mecum camera bag, instead. This turned out to be nearly perfect with the exception that the normal bottom plate is just large enough to make it impossible to get the full benefit of the EM-5's tilt screen. This plate corrects that and all is well again. By the way, the E-M5/II's mounting hole is further forward on the camera but this is of no consequence with the fully articulating screen.

The only downside to this plate is shared with the rest of the Peak Design offerings - inconvenience in tripod mounting in portrait orientation.

Comments about Peak Design MiCROplate Quick-Release Plate ONLY:

I purchased this so that I could connect my Black Rapid strap to the bottom of my NEX-6 and not worry about the flimsy D-rings included with most arca plates.

This is an ok solution but the spring on the D ring is a little tight and can be difficult to connect to. I may remove the spring and see how it works since most D-rings don't use springs and I'm not sure why it was included in this design.

Also works well with my Sirui ballhead.

Comments about Peak Design MiCROplate Quick-Release Plate ONLY:

The Micro Plate is great to use with smaller point and shoot cameras. I use it on a Lumix LX7. Holds nice and secure. I like the mounting screw which has a fold down thumb turn and it's machined to accept an allen wrench. Allen wrench is included.

Comments about Peak Design MiCROplate Quick-Release Plate ONLY:

Bought this with the AS version. Overall just didn't like the sharp edges below the latch where u pull out to tightened it over the body. The rubber also doesn't seems to stop the plate from moving.
