I wanted a no frill budget Blu-ray player and this more than fit the bill. It is beyond no frills and although I don't use them, having them is a nice extra. The quality and ease of operation is the cherry on top of this neat compact unit. I am especially happy with the small footprint of the unit. It fits on top of my sub woofer, where I would rather have it instead of squuezing it in with my DirecTV box and AV receiver.
