The Abeo Plus 323CB Tripod With BBH-200 Ballhead from Vanguard is a versatile top-of-the-line diamond-woven carbon fiber tripod with a magnesium SBH-200 professional ballhead. You can change the height of the tripod quickly and with a minimum of effort using the unique Quick Height Adjustment center column. Just flip the lever lock open, raise or lower the central column to the desired height, and flip the lock closed.

Tension Adjustable Leg Locks provide secure and rapid locking of the legs. Over time, normal wear and tear can start to take a toll on ordinary flip locks, but with Abeo Plus, you can just tighten the adjustable leg locks to the desired tension for peak performance. Each leg can also be adjusted independently to a 25-, 50-, or 80-degree angle.

The rubber feet on the legs have an angled design that gives you the perfect grip, whether in the studio or on uneven natural terrain. Built-in interchangeable spikes give you secure support on soft earth or ice, and the included set of snow/sand shoes will keep your tripod on a solid footing no matter what surface it's on.

The included BBH-200 ballhead has an innovative Rapid Level System that allows you to level the camera to the base quickly and efficiently. It also features a universal 38mm quick-release plate, and an anti-scratch coating on the ball for smooth movement. A low-angle adapter makes getting those unique low shots easier than ever. Thick foam on the upper part of each leg makes the tripod easy and comfortable to handle even in cold, hot, or wet weather.

Comments about Vanguard Abeo Plus 323CB Tripod With BBH-200 Ballhead:

I use this tripod extensively in November to shoot holiday display installations. It is tall, easy to handle and carry. Getting the little thing that screws into the camera, in and out, is a little bit of a hassle but it is steadyier then my other tripods.

Comments about Vanguard Abeo Plus 323CB Tripod With BBH-200 Ballhead:

The center column slips. I tighten, but it works loose, and don't lose that little tool to do the tightening! The legs have the same problem. After tightening, then they are hard to open. The 'quick release' is not very quick. Not a lever, but a knob to turn. It's substantial, but slips, even without long lenses. And I paid $[$] just this past December, 2012.

Comments about Vanguard Abeo Plus 323CB Tripod With BBH-200 Ballhead:

I purchased this Tripod and Ball-head for studio and on location work. Specifically shooting nature, landscapes and portraits. It is very stable. Easy to adjust. Multiple foot options for a variety of ground conditions. On the negative side, your trading weight for stability. I was more than happy with this trade off when I started shooting outdoors with a stiff breeze blowing.

Comments about Vanguard Abeo Plus 323CB Tripod With BBH-200 Ballhead:

I purchased this tripod after finally being fed up trying to make do with an old faithful Slik from when my kids were growing up. This is my first use of carbon fiber. WHAT A DIFFERENCE IN SUPPORT! Its amazing how much more confident I feel now that the grandkids are being subjected to my constant pestering for photos. The ballhead is easy to use, almost as easy as it is to adjust for a level setting since the floats are conveniently placed. The only negative is I think the clamp for the ballhead could do with a symmetrical handle rather than be just one-sided. The rebate was a plus and unexpectedly quick in coming after the purchase.
