The XE303C12-A01US 11.6" Chromebook Computer (Wi-Fi Only) from Samsung is designed for a Web-optimized experience. With a simpler and more secure user interface than regular notebook computers, this Samsung Chromebook features fast and easy Internet performance.

I wanted something super portable to travel with. It fits my needs so far. I haven't needed to use my desktop other than to load some audio and video on to a flash drive so that I can use them with my chromebook. MP3's and MP4's work well with the chromebook in my experience.
One thing to note is that most things require internet to work because they run in browser. When offline, you can do things like watch movies or listen to music from a drive. Read and write emails. Use Google docs. I think they have some games available... Honestly I'm usually online, so I haven't tried much else.
It's not very fast when multitasking - like when you have a bunch of tabs open, but I usually don't need that many. Battery life is great. I love how everything is sync'ed with your Google account. I couldn't ask for more in such a low priced unit.

I use my Chromebook do everything web-related rather than my desktop computer. Within 10 seconds, I am on the web-- no waiting for a complicated boot. Very easy set-up-- just log into your WiFi. The battery lasts in excess of 6 1/2 hours. Excellent full-size keyboard. Good picture viewer and media player. Contrary to what some review have indicated, it does play .AVI movie files. 2 USB ports, SD slot, HDMI.

If your looking for a computer to play iTunes or games like minecraft or to just simple use editing software's this is not the computer for you, the only kinda "softwear's" you can use on here is google apps and they don't make up for the other programs that you use on any other computer
but from the other aspect the computer is fast for searching and viral videos and some of the google apps can work on or offline depending on the app so i guess you kinda get what you pay for it's not as bad as it may sound.

Very nice fit and finish for a [$] machine. Chrome OS works smoothly and can do everything on the web I need it to do. It does stutter a little if I open or close a bunch of tabs at once. Otherwise, it's able to render complex pages quickly and makes the perfect second computer (or third or fourth).

Bought it for my wife. We both access the internet almost exclusively for email,browsing,and simple games and a simple spreadsheet work.
It has fantastic speed-open the cover and you're up.
I like the local storage on USB or SD card.
It's very light and small to carry but big enough to read and HDMI to the TV is an option.
Battery life is phenomenal.
Resolution isn't great but I wouldn't want to pay more too improve it.

Fastest boot time of anything I've seen, and although there isn't a ton of memory it makes up for it with the 100 GB of google drive. Multitouch pad works great and is smooth. Extremely light weight, but without feeling cheaply made. Very happy with it.

While I can't use it to edit video, I can use ot to manage every other aspect of my life and my business. I mainly use this product as a computer to bring back and forth to school. At school I use it for mostly internet research, word processing, and taking notes. In this regard, it works wonderfully. I really enjoy how easy it is to carry around, and the battery life is great. It does take some time to get used to the idea that everything should be stored in the cloud, but cloud storage can be great, especially if you use multiple computers. For what this computer does, it does excellently. However, don't expect this to be like your Windows laptop. Almost everything is internet based, so if you don't have internet access it is almost useless. As long as you know what to expect, it is a great product.

It's taken me a few weeks to get used to this computer and I've still got a lot to learn about using a Chrome OS as well as Chrome Drive, but I'm getting there.
I love the compactness of the machine and the instant on/off. Love the long battery life also.

I've been waiting for shipping since 3 months. Now it was finally arrived. For those who want to buy this item, beware that:
It is a very light/pretty/fast web based laptop. If you need it to do some light work using office, watch online videos, web browsing, it is perfect. There is almost no time required for boost or restart, absolutely fast opening any apps. The only thing I feel lack is the battery life. It was not as good as advertised, especially when playing online streams. Otherwise, it is perfect.

I use this product for youtube, only . I do not recommended. The same link on youtube on other laptop works perfectly than Chromebook. If use www that is ok. Connected HDMI between computer and TV and watch TV by youtube. All films is slower ther the same connnection and same link to other. If I again purchases i will do not buy. Design looks very cheap. Great are small and thin. For travel grat use only @ perfect.

This is the perfect kitchen laptop/netbook/Chromebook/whatever you want to call it. Incredibly light, silent (because of flash memory), simple to set up, and almost everything is cloud-based, so there's no need to worry if your files are safe. If you need to, there's a simple folder for saving files locally and organizing as you wish. Another great feature is is takes 9 seconds to boot up.

I bought this product with one use in mind: a 3-month backpacking trip in Mexico. I didn't want a lot of memory, as I want to save all our photos and films on a cloud or a USB port, or an SD card. The Chromebook doesn't have what I don't need and has what I do need, and is priced accordingly.
I didn't want to spend close to $1000 on a tablet that didn't have a real keyboard or any useful ports, plus lots of apps that I don't use. The Chromebook's price, speed (flash memory) and ease of use is perfect! No Skype though, but I'm getting to grips with Google Hangout. I love it!
