The Lenovo ThinkPad Twist 12.5" Convertible Ultrabook Computer is yet another hybrid that traverses multiple functions. It's a tablet, an Ultrabook and a presentation device. It's also Windows 8 compatible, which means that the touch functions of this hybrid will be enhanced by a powerful operating system designed for touch computing.
It features a 1.7GHz Intel Core i5-3317U dual-core processor, 4GB of DDR3 RAM and a 500GB hard drive with a 24GB mSATA cache for speedier access to often used programs. That's good enough for any Ultrabook, but for a tablet, it's above and beyond gaming and app needs.
It also features a 12.5" LED backlit IPS touch screen. The IPS touch screen offers better viewing angles and higher contrast for viewing the screen in alternative light situations (bright outdoor light to dim indoor light). The screen features a native 1366 x 768 high definition resolution and runs on the Intel HD Graphics 4000 chipset for higher-end graphic processing. The smudgeless anti-reflective capacitive screen is manufactured with Corning Gorilla Glass for a tougher, cleaner surface and supports 5-point multi-touch
To enhance the multimedia aspects of this Ultrabook hybrid, this unit also includes 8W integrated stereo speakers (2x 2W) using Dolby Home Theater v4 and Realtek ALC3202 codecs. It also includes dual array microphones and a combo audio/microphone jack.
For connectivity, this hybrid has 802.11 a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, Gigabit Ethernet and Bluetooth 4.0. It also has a variety of i/o ports, including two USB 3.0 ports, two external monitor ports (mini-HDMI and mini-DisplayPort), and a Gigabit Ethernet RJ-45 terminal.
Added tablet-like extras include a 4-in-1 card reader that supports SD, SDHC, SDXC, and MMC cards, and a HD 720p resolution fixed-focus wide-angle webcam with low light sensitivity and face tracking. It also has a 6-row 83-key spill-resistant keyboard with multimedia Function keys and an UltraNav buttonless touchpad below the keyboard.
The swivel hinge transforms this hybrid from a tablet into an Ultrabook. When using the unit as a multimedia display for presentations, you simply swivel the screen to face your audience. Later, if you want to watch a movie or interact with loved ones online, you swing the screen to face you with the keyboard now acting as a hinged stand (tent mode).
This convertible four-in-one hybrid Ultrabook/tablet/multimedia presenter has enough power to also serve as your primary laptop, but gives you a variety of usage options. How you choose to utilize it is up to you.

Comments about Lenovo ThinkPad Twist 12.5" Convertible Multi-Touch Ultrabook Computer:
It freezes frequently and I can only fix it by going back to the windows page and returning. It some times freaks out and moves the mouse around when I'm using it as a tablet. The auto rotate doesn't always work or will turn itself on. Also, if I move my mouse in a certain way, not intentionally, it becomes full screen so easily. I've only had this computer for a week and I'm already having this many problems. However, it is overall a fast computer, and the majority of the time, the tablet works well. It's also a good computer. The glitches are my only issue; they make me frustrated which takes away from my enjoyment in using this computer.

Comments about Lenovo ThinkPad Twist 12.5" Convertible Multi-Touch Ultrabook Computer:
My wife was infatuated with the commercials for the YOGA, but this ultrabook provides more bang for the buck, plus, when in tablet mode, the keyboard isn't on the bottom. It does everything she wants and was ready to go, right out of the box.
