The 16GB SDHC Memory Card Pro X2 Wireless Class 10 from Eye-Fi is a Secure Digital High Capacity memory card with a data storage capacity of 16GB. This allows you to store up to 8,000 photos or 6 hr of video. The card's Class 10 speed designation means its read and write speeds will be at least 10MB/s, but this card is capable of up to 22MB/s read / write speeds. The card also features integrated 802.11n Wi-Fi, which has a range of 90' (27.4 m) outdoors and 45' (13.7 m) indoors. You can wirelessly upload RAW photos to any folder on your computer, and also take advantage of automatic geotagging to map your photos. With free Android and iOS apps, you have the ability to instantly send photos and videos from your camera to your smartphone or tablet, where they will appear automatically organized by date. From there, upload your images easily to your computer.

The Pro X2 card features Endless Memory, which, when activated, lets you set a threshold after which your card will automatically start creating space the next time you turn on your camera. Only the content that's already safely backed up on your devices (tablet, smartphone, and computer) will be deleted in order to make space for new files. Choose to have space freed up when you want it, whether the card is at 50% or 90% capacity.

Photos and videos captured with your Eye-Fi card in the last 7 days are automatically synched to a secure personal cloud, where you can view them via your Eye-Fi username and password and the web app. Eye-Fi also offers you the opportunity to upgrade to Eye-Fi Premium, which eliminates this 7-day limit--giving you access to the cloud for as long as you like. Plus, included with this card is a 1-year subscription to use thousands of hotspots across the US for automatic uploading of your photos and videos.

Benefit from quick and easy photo and video sharing on over 25 social media sites, including Facebook, Flickr, Shutterfly and YouTube. Improved WPA2-PSK security and support for static WEP 64/128 and WPA-PSK standards safeguards you against online threats. A card reader and case are included.

    The Bad:
I take my 5D to shoot everywhere, but the draw back is that this card does not write quickly enough when using drive mode (burst shots). Also, if you plan on shooting video, it only shoots for 5 second and then stops because the card's write speed.

Also, this thing drains the batter when you enable the wifi transfer. Only have it enabled when you're transfering at home and put your camera by the router for faster transfer.

Here's my biggest gripe, you can't do a fast transer without the eye-fi USB adapter. It takes FOREVER to tranfer when you stick the card into any other card reader beside the one it's packaged with.

    The Good:
If you're too lazy to take your card out, stick it into a card reader, create a new folder, and copy-paste the files, then you should consider this card. It tranfers by creating it's own folder and naming the folder by dates. I like that feature because it saves time.

I don't recommend taking this card to shoot a wedding, but maybe a photobooth. Also, it is a time saver if you're using this to shoot family stuff or just for leisure. I hope this was helpful.

I am a professional travel shooter. I shoot regionally in the Southeast and Northeast and sometimes Europe. On travel shoots you have to get some pretty good food shots. I wanted to get the Eye-Fi card to help me dial in on placement of props and framing. I used one with a friend on a studio shoot and it was nice to have.

I use two Canon Mark IV's on my trips and shoot to SanDisk Extreme Pro CF cards. Never had a problem with them. HOWEVER, the Eye-Fi card has some issues.

    1) Out of the box you will get a booklet, a USB card reader and a SD card. Eye-Fi SD cards can ONLY be read by the card reader that they supply. It is WIDE and will not fit next to any computer that has cables coming out of it that are close together. It is an 1.5 inches wide. Be aware of this.
    2) The booklet that you get has very little information. You basically have to go to their website to get info about anything. Good luck because a great deal of their descriptions for selections are not good descriptions for what you are probably wanting to do.
    3) The CARD... its a great idea to be able to shoot and look at an larger image on another device. BUT, its not as seemless as that. I downloaded the card info and got everything set up on a new IPAD that I wanted to shoot to. Did a couple of test shots shooting a RAW + JPEG shot. The JPEG came up and I was happy. Then I took the camera and IPAD into the yard and tried again. Even though the camera and IPAD stayed together it lost the WIFI connection. I had to reconnect in settings. Then I shot another round of images. They didn't come up immediately they came up after two or three minutes. This wasn't the first time this happened. I bring up this point becuase if you are hoping to shoot and show a client what you are shooting, it will not be fun or impressive for your client to have to wait for your toy to do its thing. Out of curiosity I bracketed several images on the LOW speed of the camera. The card did not like this at all and it showed an error message. I had to turn off the camera and take the card out to reset. Once reset and back on I noticed that the card only captured half of the images losing the other half... not good and not at all what the company states that this card will do. It lost the wireless connection frequently. The companies statements about shooting to a device 30-40 feet away is not true. More like 12 feet. I tested this out on my friends card too. The distance is very short and not at all reliable.

I took this card to a recent food shoot to give it a second try. I got everything set up and the Chef, who is a James Beard Award winner jumped into some spectacular light coming into the restaurant. I asked hime to let me get his portratit. I fired off about 12 shots and the card had an ERROR message... I popped it out and grabbed a CF card. The Eye-Fi card captured only two of the 12 shots that I had taken. The problem lies somewhere in the transfer of data to the connected WIFI device. I tested the card on its own without image transfer and it was fine with capture.

Would I buy this again? NO
Would I suggest a friend or professional shooter get it? NO

The product only needs an activation in a computer and after that you are ready to roll. Just connect the card to your camera a connect your phone, tablet or computer to the card network. Use the EyeFi app and you can start receiving the photos you take. I am giving this product 4 starts since the process will be a bit complicated for a non techie person and it did not came with instructions.

Easy to set up to copy photos to either desktop or smartphone. However, connection during copying process gets interrupted a lot even with use of my home wi-fi. Images quality transferred though are so crisp and I don't see any degradation in them.

Comments about Eye-Fi 16GB SDHC Memory Card Pro X2 Wireless Class 10:

I use this in my Sony RX100II. I purchased the card after attempting to use the p-a-i-n-f-u-l-l-y slow (built-in) Sony transfer system. Eyefi transfers photos so much faster than the Sony, it isn't even close. At first I was worried that the wifi signal would not penetrate the all-metal camera body on the RX100, but that was not an issue. Video files take a bit longer, given their size. The only downside to this card is that when it is time to take it out of the camera, not all SD-to-USB card readers will work, you are best to stick with the card reader that is included with the card. BUY THIS CARD...the hinges on your camera's SD card compartment will thank you!

Tried with my D810. Got it working with an iPad after contacting support at Eye-Fi. They had to provide me with special instructions to get it setup to work. Instructions are not available on line.

The real issue is if your standing more than around 10 feet from the receiving device, the file transfer stops. If you move back in range the file transfer will automatically start again.

I set up the camera to only transfer small jpeg images. Transfer of these files only takes 10 to 20 seconds per file, if your within a couple of feet of the camera.

The very short file transfer range is not going to be easy to deal with.

This card is fun as it gives your SLR wi-fi technology. What is upsetting from the git go is the lack of instruction with the item. A booklet or something would have been nice, but once I worked my way through it, it seemed easy. What makes me mad is that I spent $ on the Canon 5D Mark III and this tech couldn't have been part of the camera? Come on Canon.

It was impossible to tether even small size jpeg files with Canon 5D mark III. If you are professional photographer and time matters to you, you better stay away from this product and make a peace with your tethering cable.Regardless using apple time capsule wireless router and did set up the card to use my own network, I wasn't able to get stable transfer with a acceptable time. Idea is great but not there yet. Returned the item next day.

We've been Eye-Fi users for a few years and it's something that separates us from the pack for small commercial work. Other photographers get bogged down trying to tether their camera to a laptop, our images simply transmit from their own WIFI source to an iPad for the art director to review. It's fast, getting more and more reliable all the time (it was a little fussy for a while with connectivity, but those bugs have been worked out it seems). The art directors we work with love the system. I've transmitted from back alleys and farm fields, far from any WIFI signal, and with no tethering. Highly recommended.

As a professional, I was hoping to integrate the wifi into my shooting work flow. It did not happen since the file sizes I am shooting are too large for the wifi to transmit quickly. I'm sure lower file sizes would work better. Set up /instructions could be a bit more clearly stated.

I had some difficulty setting this up in my Olympus E-PL5. You really do need to read the manual and instructions to get it to work and even that didn't work right the first time for me. Somehow, it started working though...just frustrating. Uploads are a little slow but again, it works better than no wifi.

I was excited to be able to use images from my Sony RX-1 on social media via my phone while in the field so I thought I'd try this.

there is no way to choose what gets uploaded to my phone so the app started downloading all the images on the card- including all the duplicate raw files which are HUGE and my phone cannot read. The app needs to be upgraded to allow the selection of images to be transferred instead of transferring all the images.

Because of this I plugged the card into a Lexar Pro USB3 cf/sd card reader to download the images traditionally to a portable thunderbolt drive and 4.27gb is talking 16 hours as you can see in my screen shot.

This thing is not even worth the cool wifi factor by any means.

Very easy to setup. I use the Andriod version to transfer files from my Olympus EM5, seems more reliable to use than my wife's iPhone version. Very pleased with the wireless file transfer. This card supports these formats: jpg, raw, and movie files.

Comments about Eye-Fi 16GB SDHC Memory Card Pro X2 Wireless Class 10:

I use this card for real estate photography for a wireless connection to my laptop for larger previews of photographs. Takes about 8 minutes to set up the laptop so images will start to show on Lightroom, as the Eye-Fi card has to first connect, then download a test image, then you have to delete the test image and point Lightroom to the proper file.
The larger previews on the laptop allow me to better judge the quality of the shots that I am taking.
Most files (small jpgs) take 10-17 seconds to download to the laptop, IMO quite slow for a 2 meg file. About ten percent of the time, the download will not occur at all for no good reason for a few shots then magically start to re-download later after taking more shots.
I find I have to keep moving the laptop close to the camera (within 20 feet) to have it download to the laptop with minimal interruption, otherwise, the connection can be broken and sometimes it will not come back without rebooting the computer. PITA in my opinion.
When the battery in your camera starts getting low, the connection will fail. Usually it reconnects with a fresh battery.
One major problem I just found was that this card is extremely fragile. It slipped out of my hand from a height of 3 feet and broke apart on the ground in 3 pieces, the outer 2 halves of the casing and the electronics board. I have it put back together as best as I can but I fear I will need a new one asap. This card is only 6 months old.
This card does what I want it to do, to a certain extent, but it is extremely fragile and has a 'buggy' connection to my computer and limited range. I was hoping for better.
