This is the best thumb drive I have ever had, and it is inexpensive, too. The writing and reading speed is very close to the specification sheet. I am very tired about how some other company exaggerated the statement on the retail box in the tricky way. Sandisk is absolutely legit and honest to what they say on their retail box for this item. This is huge to me, and very important for me to tell if this company has integrety for doing business. The speed is so fast that beats my USB3.0 HDD. It is also faster than the current world fastest SD and CF cards through USB3.0 card reader.
The cosmetic and the design (the look) of the thumb drive itself is pretty cool and slick. If I want to be picky, I think it is a bit too long, I hope it can be shorter and smaller. It is not the deal break though, I won't deduct any point from my review for this reason.
What I do with it is to transfer the large HQ movie files (MP4) from my computer to my PS3, and play the movie on my larger TV screen via PS3. I don't even need to copy the movie file into the PS3 HDD, I can play it right on the thumb drive itself through the PS3 USB port. No lag.
I think I will go buy another one. Probably larger capacity.

Downloads/uploads real quick, time will tell if it is as durable as my last 'extreme' flash drive. The mechanism looks pretty simple, so think it will hold up fine for continued use...

Comments about SanDisk Extreme USB 3.0 Flash Drive:
Product was pretty easy to use out of the box. Loaded some fitness videos onto the flash drive and can run the videos directly from there without any issues (no stalls/interruptions). Other reviewers are right that it's a little longer than your average flash drive, but not by much - I don't see it as a big deal (if anything it helps you pick it out from a crowd if you have a lot of them). Retracting USB works easily, but will see if that holds up over time. Very happpy with the product at this point. Was also a great price - thanks B&H!

Comments about SanDisk Extreme USB 3.0 Flash Drive:
I use my USB drive for back up and file transferring between computers as most users, and I can say that its performance is almost incomparable to regular USB 2.0 drives. Benchmark results are close generically speaking to a Kingston Hyper X, but for about half the price if you go 64GB. Also, its casing is very nice, you don't have to worry about losing the cap as the plug slides out firmly but effortlessly (in my opinion that's a cool feature). Finally, I got the 32GB because the write speed gets up to 110MB/s (16GB gets about 55MB/s write speed, and I believe 64GB gets up to 170MB/s)

I can whole heartedly endorse this USB drive. On my quest to transfer files faster, this USB 3.0 stick lives up to its claims. I'm moving 15GB files 4x faster than my old usb 2.0 sticks. I'm averaging about 45/mbs. I'm happy.

Initial tests in a ThinkPad USB 3.0 port, according to Crystal DiskMark64, maximum sequential reads 100MB/s; writes 50MB/s. Very slick retracting mechanism--no caps to lose. No thermal issues.
