Comments about Induro DR Hi-Hat Tripod Set (75mm Bowl):

I've worked with cast aluminum hi hats in the past and found them stable but limited. The Induro Hi-Hat has the features of being stable and versatile. I was very pleased with the construction quality right our of the box. In use, it lives up to all my expectations. You won't go wrong with this gear.

Comments about Induro DR Hi-Hat Tripod Set (75mm Bowl):

This is a very solid hi-hat with some nice features.
In addition to having variable angles on the legs the short extension possible on height is also helpful. Worth the price when you need it.

Comments about Induro DR Hi-Hat Tripod Set (75mm Bowl):

I finally bought this hi-hat to use as a mini tripod for various low angle cams especially when hiking or needing low, but solid camera support when doing time lapse work. I also plan to use it for one end of my Cineslider when doing more complicated setups that require more stability than the All Terrain legs I got for that slider, as they wobble a bit.

So far I'm very happy with the build of this tripod. VERY solid. Awesome. I took off a star due to the weight. It's about twice as heavy as I thought it would be. I know that solidity comes at a price, but I was surprised.

Also, the great leg adjustment ability is awesome, however, the legs do not lock in two directions...that is, you can still tilt them down, which only once, when rigging it up between two boulders, I found to be a problem.

All in all, I'd buy this again, and except for the weight, I'd recommend it for any person who does not want to sacrifice stability for size.

Does what it's supposed to do better than a traditional hi-hat does!
Works great for getting low shots without having to use my Gitzo Ocean and Systematic tripods with legs completely spread apart. I also use my Manfrotto HD502 with the Induro and it's a great fit. For those of you the own a n Edelkrone Slider... this is a must have now we can use all 2' of travel and still get pretty darn close to the ground :)

I use the DR Hi-Hat Tripod Set (75mm Bowl) by Induro for macro work and for low to the ground work and Edelkrone Slider mounted to the top. I consider this investment to be one of my best for support tools. I also use the Induro Carbon 8X CT414 Tripod, Induro CM34 Carbon 8X CM-Series 4-Section Monopod and the Induro BHL3 Ball Head. I am a believer in Induro equipment would recommend any of their products.

This pod is very well built and perfect for low to the ground or tabletop work. I use this pod with my Gimbal Head & my Nikon D800 with 200mm macro lens and other lenses for low to the ground landscape and or close up work in the field or for controlled studio work. It is one very good Hi-Hat, best I have seen!

Comments about Induro DR Hi-Hat Tripod Set (75mm Bowl):

This tripod is SOLID. Could hold a heavy rig. It also gets very low to the ground and the bowl is easy to adjust. Has a good weight to keep it steady, and includes holes for mounting the feet to a board for even greater stability. It's certainly a niche product, but if you need low angle shots, it can't be beat.
