Comments about Westcott 43" Umbrella White (2-Pack):

I rarely give anything 5 stars in online reviews, but after balancing the product quality, effectiveness, and price, I have to give these 5 stars.

Granted, these may not be made to such exacting standards as umbrellas that cost 6-8 times as much, but you can't beat these for the price. Two umbrellas for around $20 is excellent.

I don't do a lot of portraits, so I only use these pretty infrequently. As such, these should last me for a while. Their effectiveness is excellent. I get a wonderful softness to my speedlites when flashing through these umbrellas.

One note though, these should really be listed as 40 inch umbrellas. Yes, they are 43" around the arc, but I wish all umbrellas were listed as straight across, tip to tip. You can't make these flat to get a full 43" circle (octagon), so why not list them as how big they actually are when opened up? Other brands measure that way.

There's really not much to say about umbrellas. These work, they're inexpensive. What more do you want?

Comments about Westcott 43" Umbrella White (2-Pack):

I use the umbrellas for occasional studio shots and purchased them because I had worn out my old ones. I'm very happy with the Wescotts, especially at the price.

Comments about Westcott 43" Umbrella White (2-Pack):

The umbrellas I received were the Westcott 43" shoot-thrus that are described, but they are not the ones represented in the photo presented. The photos shown in the listing are the ones used on the Westcott website. The umbrellas that arrived were not in double sleeves, (inner one black/outer one clear), and the umbrellas do not have metal tips. As I said, they ARE Westcotts and there is no issue with their functionality. For the price they'll work fine.
