Comments about AAXA Technologies P300 Pico Projector:

I needed a compact projector for a presentation and this one fit the bill! It's small enough to carry with you, comes with a tiny tripod, and also has an AC brick.

The AC cord is short, so you'll want to bring an extension with you. The projector also magnifies considerably at short distances. For example, at approximately eight feet away from the wall the vertical screen size is about five feet, meaning the image in the screen is five feet tall. This works great in smaller rooms, but it might be a challenge in larger rooms with greater screen distances. You'll also want to have a darker room to display your projection. The room I was in could be considered a standard office with florescent lights, and I opted to turn the lights off because the images wasn't as clear or sharp with the lights on.

The images is very clear, but focusing is a challenge with the manual wheel on the side. Focus is also not uniform. At maximum resolution the middle of the screen will be in sharp focus while the edges may get slightly blurry. Not a deal breaker, but something you should be aware of. There is no trapezoid correction, but the distortion is slight. When you start the projector up it does not auto-sense connections. You need to use the navigation buttons on the top to select the input.

It has a fan inside to keep the bulb cool. I wouldn't consider it loud, but you can hear it. It didn't bother me or the other folks in the room during my presentation.

It has an HDMI input but you need a special cable (included) for VGA. I had to find a DisplayPort to HDMI adapter for my laptop, as well as an extra HDMI cable. Most likely you'll want to consider what adapters you need to buy prior to purchasing this projector. It's a light projector, so don't buy heavy or stiff cables.

One thing I wish it did include is a carrying case of some sort, even as an after-sale item. The body is plastic and dropping it will most likely crack it or worse. The lack of a case also increases the likelihood that the lens will get scratched during transportation. I opted to keep the box it shipped in along with the original packaging and use that as a case. It just barely fits into my messenger bag, but it does.

Overall I think this is a good value and am very happy with the performance of the projector. This is a very good portable HD projector. It doesn't have the features of a high-end projector, but it makes up for that with its size and the image quality.

Comments about AAXA Technologies P300 Pico Projector:

I bought this for a friend, and I was impressed with its brightness. I use a full-sized 1080P projector on my 168" diagonal painted-on screen, and I found that the P300 managed to look pretty good with the same sized image. It needed a little tweaking to get the colors right, but after that it looked pretty good, with true HD performance. I'd say the only weak link is its anemic little built-in speakers, but with an audio-out jack that is easily remedied. Also, too bad you have to buy the battery separately.

Comments about AAXA Technologies P300 Pico Projector:

I got this projector for one specific use but having unpacked it and trying it out, I can see so much more application than just that one intended use. Right out of the box, it's easy to use, everything it's reported as being in terms of CLARITY, SHARPNESS, size and portability without sacrificing quality. People who complain that it's plastic and subject to breaking because it's plastic apparently don't know how to take care of their things and are not careful. I think this item will serve me well for a variety of things, not the least of which will be having use of it at home as a projector for videos and so forth. This was purchased for purposes of presentation of display of photos for a specific function, but see it's value far beyond one use only. Great product in my book. THE ONLY things I struggled with was the FOCUSING wheel, tight, small and a little difficult to adjust easily but that's a minor issue. And naturally the sound isn't great but what could anyone expect in an item that's a few inches by a few inches? I can get past that with portable speakers. The picture is clean and clear and it's really easy to learn to use. Not difficult at all. And the price, well it's not cheap, but if it performs over time as it says it will, then it will pay for itself. Look forward to many uses of this item.

Comments about AAXA Technologies P300 Pico Projector:

Just got this in the mail today. Just some quick notes. It works very well. For such a little thing the fan is very loud. I've never owned a projector before so i have nothing to compare that to but it is very noticeable.

My fault for not checking i guess but this projector does NOT have keystone correction. UGH. i can honestly say if i had payed attention to this feature (or lack of) i may not have purchased this.

i am impressed with the connectivity of this thing.

as expected dont bother trying to use the speaker for anything worthwhile.

the only real disappointment, i hate to say but the build quality is pretty bad. very cheap foreign plastic and the buttons are about as old-school hard clicking, hard plastic buttons as it gets.

image is pretty good, i have it aimed at a wall and i've never owned a projector to compare it to so take that for what its worth. the manual focus dial is kinda cheap too.

all in all not too bad, just a little miffed that exterior build doesnt match the interior features.

Comments about AAXA Technologies P300 Pico Projector:

Convenient and very useable projector. I travel with business and the ability to attach to a computer with the hdmi cable is simple and sweet. The size is good but if it were thinner it would be fantastic. The thinner ones were not nearly as high as lumens as this projector so it is worth the extra width. The focus is not very good the dial is loose and the ability to smoothly adjust the focus is hard. The focus needs to be much better but I can work around it. This is a great tool and i would highly recommend it. I just wish that it had a better focus dial.

Lights up 8 foot wall well for movies and presentations. Easy to hook into iphone but need special cable. Fits into hard carrying case nicely. Tripod that came with it is a bit tippy so would use one with firm legs vs the flexible type. Overall, much better than full size because it is so fast to set up.

Surprisingly bright for its size. The onboard controls are difficult to use, but the remote makes it a snap and works from the front or rear. So far it's played every video I've tried (YouTube downloads and home-made AVIs and MPGs). I ordered a battery but couldn't get it to work. Fortunately the unit runs on 12V DC power, 3 Amps. I made a custom adapter so I can run it from the accessory port in my car or any 12 volt battery. All you need is a 4.0mm X 1.7mm coaxial DC power plug, a few feet of 16 ga. two conductor wire and a cigarette lighter adapter. I get 2.5 hours run time off a battery from a scrapped computer battery backup. But back to the projector itself. Keystone correction, front and rear projection, upside-down or right-side-up, plays video, audio and pictures, stereo speakers, USB drive support... what more could I ask? Only one thing I can think of: it would be nice if the manufacturer sold the 12V accessory cord I made for myself.

Comments about AAXA Technologies P300 Pico Projector:

I am a performance director. We are using the AAXA pico projector in an outdoor street performance setting.

It's powerful, and pretty sturdy. Gets an hour of use with decent lumens on the battery.

Plugged in, it's super useful and startlingly bright. I'm sure we'll find more uses.

I wish that you could trade out batteries more easily. Not really designed for prolonged battery use, but could easily be.

Comments about AAXA Technologies P300 Pico Projector:

Awesome image from this projector. I was able to get an 90 inch screen easily. Didn't use the mini tripod that came with it but used a super clamp and tripod head I got left around.so I can't say much about the tripod it came with. This device works great if you have complete control of your room lighting, if you don't then then the only time you will be able use it is at night, which can be an inconvenience for some. There is only two things I can think of that can be improved, the first is to have an auto sleep function built in,and the second is to have more control on skewing the image or resizing the image from the projector.
