The Graslon Spark Pop-Up Flash Diffuser softens the light of your DSLR camera's built-in pop-up flash in order to minimize backscatter and hard shadows and go easier on your subject's eyes. The diffuser is significantly greater in size than the built-in flash, and slips over it, creating a larger light source and taking advantage of whatever bounce is available. This reduces overblown highlights and softens shadows for more pleasing images. The reflector system ensures that light will be distributed across the whole face of the lens without any hot spots or dead spots. The Graslon IBT mirror design provides soft results. The Spark easily slides on and off your camera's hot shoe. It is compatible with most digital SLRs. It won't hinder the normal triggering of the flash and does not usually require you to alter any settings.

Comments about Graslon Spark Pop-Up Flash Diffuser:
I shoot most of my work in natural lighting but when forced indoors and around people & pets I'm forces to use the pop-up flash on my Nikon D80. The illumination is disappointing, harsh and almost not worth taking the foto. Now, with the handy flash diffuser by Graslon those problems are solved! I found the light through the diffuser very natural and pleasant looking. My only concern is that the plastic clip that attaches the diffuser to my hot shoe might break if not treated very carefully.

Comments about Graslon Spark Pop-Up Flash Diffuser:
Fits well on my Canon EOS 7D. I phoned B&H before purchasing to be sure. As usual, superb customer service. The sales person took the time to check to insure that the Graslon diffuser would fit not only the 7D; but my wife's Rebel 3Ti.
Have shot a few pics with the Graslon and it works better than expected--nice job softening the harsh built-in flash. It's not just an outer diffusing shell. Within it, in front of the built-in flash, there is a multi-faceted reflector gismo that splashes the built-in flash all over the interior of the Graslon diffuser. Clever.
If you have a Speedlite, note that Graslon makes two diffusers for Speedlites. Had I known, I would have purchased one for my 430 Speedlite. Considering how well this basic unit works, that will be next.
Check out the Graslon intro videos. They are brief and very informative about the products.

Comments about Graslon Spark Pop-Up Flash Diffuser:
I found that I had to pop up the flash and slide the diffuser over and into the flash hot shoe. Not difficult, but the flash would not pop completely up if the diffuser is installed first. Maybe just a problem for the Canon D series. I was quite pleased with the results. I've done some test shots around the house and was surprised at how harsh shadows were greatly reduced. Almost unnoticeable. Good product.
