Comments about Morris Midi Slave DC Flash (Black):

I bought ten of these and eight are still working. One of them failed on its own. The other one failed when I left it on and the batteries exploded.

For the reviewer who complained about getting the slave to work with the Canon camera, I had to use a hotshoe flash to get around an annoying Canon "feature." The Canon on-camera flash sends out test flashes to measure the light in the scene before it takes the actual picture. These test flashes trigger the slaves, which take time to recharge. The result is that you get grossly underexposed photos if you use the on-camera flash. Use a hotshoe flash at 1/64 power instead.

Comments about Morris Midi Slave DC Flash (Black):

It does what you'd expect for its size, although it does not include an option for a sync cord. It is sensitive enough to use in moderate light and picks up the light from other flashes well. It does drain batteries surprisingly quickly though.

Have only been able to use this a little. Worked great in the testing I have done. I had to play with the camera settings to get it to work correctly. Was a good value for me for what I wanted it for. Great to throw in your camera bag.

I cannot make this product operate. The batteries are installed as indicated, but my Canon SLR will not trigger the slave flash.

Comments about Morris Midi Slave DC Flash (Black):

I needed a small slave for on-site portraits to light the background. This product does exactly what it's supposed to do. The one problem I have with it is that the battery compartment cover is very tight and took a while to get off without breaking.
