The Spark 50mm f/5.6 Selective Focus Lens for Canon Mount from Lensbaby is a fun and affordable introduction to the world of Lensbaby optics and will set you on your way to experimental, creative and gorgeous selective focus photography. The Spark tilting lens body and selective focus optic makes images with a rounded area of focus with one "sweet" spot of ultra sharp focus surrounded by a gradually more and more blurred out-of-focus zone. The effect of this lens creates a dreamy feel with a unique sense of beauty that allows the viewer to really embrace the in-focus aspect of the photo, whether it be a person's eyes or hands or a flower's petal, and then to sense the gorgeously out-of-focus or dynamically motion-blurred background.
The lens body is all-plastic making it very light but the lens itself is a multi-coated glass doublet: two coated lenses combined to reduce reflections and offer sharp focus. The aperture is fixed at f/5.6 and the prime focal length is 50mm, a great length for portraits and general photography. The lens is manual focusing only, which is actually ideal given that you should select your point of focus with precision, and the minimum focusing distance is 13" (33 cm).
Compatible with all Lensbaby 37mm threaded accessory lenses and with the Lensbaby Optic Swap System, the Spark is a great way to start your foray into the creativity afforded by Lensbaby lenses and accessories.

Comments about Lensbaby Spark 50mm f/5.6 Selective Focus Lens for Canon Mount:
Great lens for the price. I chose the Spark because I was interested in trying a Lensbaby lens but didn't want to invest too much. I would say for the money it was a good addition to my bag.

Comments about Lensbaby Spark 50mm f/5.6 Selective Focus Lens for Canon Mount:
What a fun little lens! I didn't jump on the lensbaby band wagon early enough! It just gives you a new way of looking at things which is exactly what I needed. It's been so long since I have just taken my camera out with me on the street to record life around me. I feel like a photo student again!!! I missed that wonder and excitement about if and how something is going to turn out. I must take this on portrait and wedding shoots! I would recommend this for anyone who is looking for a new and re-energized view in their photography. I needed it. I mean I love what I do, don't get me wrong. But I used to love just going and taking pictures of anything that caught my eye. I haven't done that in so long and now I am doing it again since I got this :)

Comments about Lensbaby Spark 50mm f/5.6 Selective Focus Lens for Canon Mount:
I like the ability of the Spark to shift the focus point, and the colors of my images have been so rich. Frankly I couldn't spring for the original more expensive Lensbaby models, and when I saw this at such an affordable price I jumped at the opportunity to try it out. I am hooked.

Comments about Lensbaby Spark 50mm f/5.6 Selective Focus Lens for Canon Mount:
Little Lensbaby Spark cost half price of previous cheapest model, wonderful Muse. Basically Spark and Muse work and look the same. Except Spark will work with limited accessories. Fun factor is to the roof. Basically every picture is different. Pictures are not as sharp as from typical lens, but creative distortion, ability to blur just part of the picture is just another creative level you can add work. Spark costs around $, way below cost of any new lens. Except for super tele lens, costing me a lot more, Spark is able to change how your pictures look. Lensbaby Spark is a great way to start tilt shift abilities in your work. I strongly recomend this little wonder to anyone!
