The Zacuto FS700 Shooter is a shoulder mount camera support rig based on industry standard 15mm rods and components. The FS700 Grip Relocator is an adjustable bracket for mounting the FS700's removable grip on any 15mm rod. The FS700's grip attaches to the Relocator with a 1/4"-20 screw and a standard Arri rosette. The camera body attaches to the Mini Baseplate, which is adjustable side-to-side as well as up and down. The Mini Baseplate features a 1/4"-20 screw, a 3/8"-16 screw, and a locking pin to ensure a secure connection. Other components include ratcheting levers, a 7 lb counterbalance weight, a sliding shoulder pad, and two 12" 15mm rods.

    Comments about Zacuto FS700 Shooter:

This rig works amazing with the FS700! The slideable shoulder pad makes it super easy to get the right balance with the weight and camera and the rosette relocator for the handle is a great design.

        Comments about Zacuto FS700 Shooter:

This is a very uncomfortable rig. At least three camera operators I work with regularily tried it and all of us hate it. It's just too heavy and kills your neck and shoulders very quickly. I've ordered the curved shoulder pad, a Z-Drive and all the parts required to move the FS700 handle down to where the left handle appears on the F55 tornado recoil rig. I think this will work a lot better... but man this stuff is pricey!

        Comments about Zacuto FS700 Shooter:

I would have never bought this had I gotten the opportunity to build the camera on it first.
Way, way to heavy. i don't know why they sell this with such a heavy counter balance weight.... it's 7lbs and the camera body is not even 4lbs. (so the whole FS700 shooter must weigh like 13lbs without the camera even on it.)
This may not bother me as much if I really had a good handle on it, but I couldnt imagine shooting with the detachable grip relocated to the rig like intended. I keep waning to hold on to the rods instead because of the weight/comfort. To make this rig usable I feel like i need a proper grip attached to the rods and a lighter counter balance. I have not even taken her out on a proper shoot yet and my wrist hurts.
