The Primera Bravo 4100 Printer (US Plug) prints up to 100 CDs or DVDs at a time. The 4100 not only provides efficient output, but it also boasts professional results that help your self-publishing endeavors to succeed. The 4100 features 4800 dpi inkjet printing, design software for Windows or Mac computers, and the money-saving consideration of individual ink cartridges. Included with the printer you'll also receive a USB cable, PCIe eSATA adapter card, and a power supply.
In fact, Bravo 4100-Series is up to 20 times faster than competitors for similar print quality, making them the fastest desktop disc printers and publishers in the world.
Disc picking and transport robotics have both been optimized for speed, too. A rock-solid and reliable new belt drive system is utilized to deliver 300% faster robotics than previous models. The belt drive system also gives you smoother and quieter operation
Combine this ultra high resolution printing with Primera's TuffCoat with WaterShield CDs and DVDs and you'll get the most professional looking discs. TuffCoat with WaterShield discs are highly water, scratch, and smudge resistant. They also have a gorgeous, high-gloss finish unlike anything you've probably ever seen before. Virtually all other brands of inkjet-printable optical media are also supported
Simply choose the type of job you want to perform (data, video, audio, etc.), match with a print file, and press "GO." It's that easy!
Built-in disc design software called SureThing Primera Edition (Windows) or DiscCover (Mac) lets you place photos, backgrounds, text and graphics anywhere on the disc, including as far into the middle of the disc as you wish - a major limitation with other brands of disc publishers

I use a separate disk duplicator (7 to 1 tower) which burns a set of 4GB DVDs in about 8 to 10 minutes. Then I load the Primera 4100 with the disks to be printed. The speed of the Primera is about one disk every 45 seconds on a full color solid picture with text. This is faster than I can get duplicates made from my 7-1 duplicator. So from a production point of view - I'm waiting on the duplicator - not the printer!
The quality of the print is very good using standard Sony printable media. Primera offers their own brand of disks but I have not tried.
Ink is on the expensive side at about $90 for a set of cartridiges, however the included cost estimator tool is telling me that my total cost of materials for a DVD is $0.15 including the ink and Sony DVDs. That is for a full color photo that covers the entire DVD.
The robot is impressive. It senses the number of blank DVDs in both of the qty 50 trays accurately and reports this information to the software. It drops finished DVDs into a catcher bin that hangs to the front of the unit. I have not had a mis-feed at all. The unit has blue LED lights that allow you to watch the entire printing operation under the hood - something that you have to force yourself not to watch as it is quite fascinating to see the robot in action.
My printing used to be a "single tray manual feed" until my business required higher volume. The Primera 4100 in combination with a multi tray duplicator is the way to go for me at this time.

Despite all of my excitement about this printer. Despite everything Primera has done right by including CMYK printing, a brand new amazingly fast print-head (even interchangeable), and a 50 disc capacity --the shortcomings of this products software make it awful for use with MAC's.
In short, once the driver and software is installed, the printer shows up as expected. PTPublisher (The Printing Software), Disc Cover 2 (The Label Making Software) and Printing Preferences all work in tandem to print out your discs. My initial concerns were when I found I was unable to edit any of the diameter settings directly from the Print Utility from System Prefs. They are locked. Probably a permissions issue I though...boy was that the least of my problems.
Working in PTPublisher is fine. At first I chose to just drop a 5x5' TIFF onto the blank print surface to print. Clearly this would be large enough to print on the entire disc. First print = a 2-3 mm border of white the printer didn't want to print on near the inner AND outer margins. I'm using the widely available and popular Verbatim White Inkjet DVD-R discs from B&H.
Okay, so I make a new diameter preset, and print again. Same problem. The disc prints fine, at AMAZING speeds and quality, but there is NO way to change the diameter settings.
That's when I contacted support -- which for the most part has been very responsive, albeit unable to help solve my problem. They suggested editing the .plist file, changing permissions on various folders, and more. They suggested removing Disc Cover 2 from the 'Package Contents' of PTPublisher, and putting it in the Application folder all by itself. WHY on earth has this not been done to begin with?
20 emails back and forth could not fix my problem. I even installed fresh onto a separate laptop, with no success.
After these problems I tried printing with Preview. I tried third-party software Discus. I tried App Zapping everything and starting over.
Printing to the edges of discs is a basic function that any other printer has, except this one. The MAC version of this software is not ready for primetime, and I strongly suggest you rethink purchasing this for a Mac environment.

Comments about Primera Bravo 4100 Printer (US Plug):
Our previous Primera printer finally failed after 3 years of fairly intense use. Because our hundreds of templates were still embedded in the SureThing software, we opted to go with the Bravo 4100. Even though it's the smallest model, it has a larger capacity (100 discs) and prints much faster than the old model. Although it's too early to tell, the 4 separate ink cartridges is a vast improvement over the single cartridge system where we had to replace it when one color ran out, even when there was clearly ink left.

Comments about Primera Bravo 4100 Printer (US Plug):
This is a great printer if you have to print large quantities of DVDs/CDs. B&H had the best price plus free shipping. Also, B&H has the best deal on the ink cartridges. The free shipping was quick and the printer arrived in perfect condition. It is easy to use, and comes with the software you need to design the art work and text.

The ad state 6 seconds to print, and it does. Full color disc, and they look great. You can reduce the saturation of ink to still get a great look and save even more ink.

I'm a videographer and produce DVD's Bluray & CD's. Easy to use. I like the separate ink cartridges. Prints fast and the quality is excellent. Has an external 100 disc catcher which I'm not crazy about but if your doing under 50 at a time you don't need it.

I saw a small ring around the inner loop when I used another cd already made project from another cd/dvd printer. I made one for a wedding and most of that has gone away. I am still looking into this to see if this is always or tweeking. If that goes away the speed and not haveing to do one at a time is nice. One less thing to think about is nice for a change.

I found this auto printer for my company works very well. We do a lot of DVDs when my company produces videos for dancing schools. I love the speed and the print quality it produces. Great product, much needed for my company for a long time. I wish the ink was less expensive.

The printer would not work when I received it. It could not find the robot arm and said the black and maganta cartridge's were faulty and needed to be replaced.[...]The new printer worked fine, easy setup and is FAST. It will print 4 disks while my PF2 is printing 1The black is crisp and clear but the colors are not as vibrant as my Microboards PF2.[...]would recommend this printer to a friend.
