The M-Audio Oxygen 88 MIDI Keyboard Controller was designed to emulate the feel of an acoustic piano while offering the tools of a MIDI keyboard and controller. It features 88 graded hammer-action keys so the lower register keys feel heavier and the high register keys feel lighter, like an acoustic piano. The Oxygen 88 uses M-Audio's DirectLink technology to automatically map its eight MIDI assignable knobs, nine MIDI assignable 60mm faders, and nine MIDI assignable buttons to common DAW parameters. It can be used as a USB MIDI input device, a controller for external MIDI hardware, or a DAW control surface.

The Oxygen 88 features built-in presets for a variety of virtual instruments, allowing you to control parameters using its knobs, sliders, and buttons instead of your mouse. It has three unique select buttons for changing presets, programs, and MIDI channels right from your controller. Featuring a five-pin MIDI output, the Oxygen 88 can control external MIDI gear as well as software-based instruments.

Its 88 keys can be split into four zones, enabling you to layer sound, split your keyboard between different sounds, or create stacked patches within your virtual instruments.

Comments about M-Audio Oxygen 88 - USB MIDI Controller:

The product is extermly well made. Easy to program, worked right off the bat when I installed PT 11. The price was great because the product is so well built. Keys velocity easy to adjust, instructions on programming the keyboard not complicated. I had my controller working within 20 minutes of receiving the product.

Comments about M-Audio Oxygen 88 - USB MIDI Controller:

I received my m audio oxygen 88 controller today. It came in 4 days, this was great. Packaging was good. The controller is great, easy to use. I had it playing in about 10 min. I still have not set it all up for what it can do but I know as with my other m audio keyboards, this is a good piece of equip. well built, action on the keys a bit heavy but I like it that way. Make it feels like a real piano. I have owned a few m audio keyboards, still have them all and they in my opinion just keep on getting better. Would have like to have the pads. Did not bring an owners manual, but downloaded one in a few min. I have a small home studio, this keyboard with other electronic instruments I have gives me the power of doing or achieving exactly what I want with my music. This piano is built to last. When I get all the controls set up, I will post again. If you are looking for a great controller the oxygen 88 is great and the price won't have you selling other equipment you might want to keep or your house. Also, B&H came through as they promised, in stock not, new, and got it in a few days. Great customer service.

Comments about M-Audio Oxygen 88 - USB MIDI Controller:

I have used this controller play piano parts as well and control VSTs. Things that are great:
      1. Action feels great to me - but I'm not a pro. I really enjoy the weighted keys.
      2. the ability control tracks in sonar using ACT by assigning slider to volume control
      3. having 88 keys! Which is needed for certain VST instruments
      4. The price is very good for what you get

Have had no driver or quality issues. Unit was delivered right on time. Very happy with this purchase - and I hardly ever write reviews.

Comments about M-Audio Oxygen 88 - USB MIDI Controller:

I use this unit in my small home studio to control several software instruments. The keyboard feels great considering the unit is so light weight (compared to other 88 note keyboards). After a couple of weeks of regular use I really can't find much bad to say about it.

Comments about M-Audio Oxygen 88 - USB MIDI Controller:

I have used other Midi controllers and keyboard synths for over 20 years. I use keyboard midi controllers for about 99% of my recording work, so this tool is extemely important to me. M-Audio has always made quality products, and I've enjoyed various 88-key midi controllers in the past. But none of them have ever felt so solid and realistic as the Oxygen 88. To make things even better, the Oxygen 88 has been trimmed down to only the necessary on-board faders and knobs, letting me focus less on buttons and more on keys! With my Sonar 8.5 Producer DAW, the Oxygen fits very nicely and is compatible with the ACT technology, allowing me to assign the faders to multiple tracks, and allowing me to map the transport functions. The "less is more" ideology holds true with the Oxygen 88.
