Comments about Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6235 Wi-Fi / Bluetooth Mini PCIe Adapter:

The 2.4 GHz band refused to work with the NUC, even though it was supposed to. 5 GHz did work. Put the card into an older model NUC and both bands worked fine. Intel WiFi support was useless. Since the card works fine in the older NUC, it may be a BIOS issue with the BOXD34010WYKH, even though Intel lists the units as compatible. Put the Intel WiFi card (Centrino Wireless-N 2200) from the old NUC into the new NUC, and that worked properly.

Comments about Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6235 Wi-Fi / Bluetooth Mini PCIe Adapter:

We needed more speed on our wireless network. The N-1030 in my Asus N55s, and adapters in other laptops too, were on the same frequency as the phones in the house. The dual band N-6235 on the 5 GHz band usually connects at 300 Mb/s for uninterrupted connections and benefit from an extended wifi range. If you have a Lenovo or HP laptop, look for a 'branded' (designed for the specific brand) N-6235 as the general adapter is not recognized by the BIOS in those machines and you won't have to deal with BIOS updates.

I bought this card for my intel NUC. There is nothing special about it, just good enough. It helps the NUC connect the WI-FI and Bluetooth devices.

Comments about Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6235 Wi-Fi / Bluetooth Mini PCIe Adapter:

I needed to change my Wifi from 2.4 mghz to 5 mghz, as i was experiencing major interference which was not present when i connected directly (wired)to my laptop. I actually ordered 3 of these cards, for 3 of our laptops.

Packaged really well in a semi hard plastic case and then bubble wrapped. Getting the Driver from Intel 1st is a must, and there are specific versions for windows8, win7 32 bit and 64bit systems etc. Make sure you download the correct version before attempting to remove your current wi-fi card, Failure to do so if you have just 1 computer will result in you not been able to connect to the internet to download it! Download it, don't install the new driver until you have changed out your wi-fi card. When you download the driver, you have the option to download the driver only OR you can download a pro version, which gives you a few extra tools which can be found in the control panel (after installation of the driver file)

The new wifi card has worked and performed much better than my old card which was 2.4mghz only (intel N1030)and the signal strength has also improved over the standard 2.4mghz channel.Plus i have the choice to use the 5mghz channel to cut out interference from other 2.4mghz wifi's in my location

The Advanced N 6235 wi-fi card has improved range over my existing one, which for laptops is always greatly received. I no longer suffer with interference and my internet/ wi-fi speed is now running at the maximum provided by my service provider when i use the 5mghz. Overall this is a great card with no issues.

Upgraded WIFI Bluetooth card in brand new HP laptop when the computer would not maintain a signal for any length of time. (sometimes 3 hours, sometimes 3 minutes). HP offered to send replacement and after finding this card in US shipped for $[$], I pulled the trigger and couldn't be happier. WIFI signal has remained nonstop for weeks now and speed is significantly better as well. The only downside was finding a driver online for the card and loading it. Either find and download the driver BEFORE you install the card, or use another computer to find the driver and put it on a flash drive. If you're not comfortable doing this, have someone else install it for you.

I have a Sony Tap Vaio 20 and the wireless card it came with was not widi compatible. I initially ordered an Intel 7260ac card only to find that the Tap would not recognize the card. Ordered the 6235 and up and running within minutes. Delivery of card was as promised without any issues.

works well, dual band and since its a 6 series centrino you know its the high end version. Used it to replace a low end crummy 2230 centrino, which is terrible drops signal etc, a quick google search will tell you all you need to know.

no cons about it, simple install

It would probably be a very nice card, but I could not get it to work with my laptop. It fit into my laptop just fine in the mini-PCIe slot. I turned on my laptop, and the bios loading screen froze and would not boot into Windows. The evil tech megacorporations (motherboard manufacturer or the laptop manufacturers) are making it so that motherboards on your laptops will reject devices, if you try to replace the wifi adapter that came with it.So in essence, I just payed $10 in return shipping to learn that I've been screwed by the jerks who use DRM (Digital Restrictions Management) to enforce vendor lock-in, which is an unethical business practice.Viva the Great American Corporatocracy. The FSF explains:"Additionally, because many machines now come with a blacklist in their boot firmware that severely limits what internal wireless cards users can install, external USB devices are sometimes the best or only option."Article: FSF-certified to Respect Your Freedom:
