Photographers looking for a high performance tripod head in a very small package should be thrilled with the Jobu Jr.3 Deluxe Gimbal Kit with Swing-Arm HM-J3D from Jobu Design. This head has a one-piece hollow, cast, heat-treated body, making it extremely stiff. It is smaller, lighter, smoother and more compact than the previous BWG-J2K head. The quick-release has been integrated into the swing-arm, making the entire gimbal lighter, while increasing the swing-capacity (maximum lens collar foot size can be taller). There's also a premium, custom-designed fluted knob for a better grip. Quick-release plate is not included.
Needle roller bearings allow smoother tilting under heavy loads and better adjustment of friction. Lockout force has been improved, and overall durability has been improved. It has an overall profile of 9 x 8" (22.8 x 20.3 cm).
70-200mm F2.8/F4, 100-400mm zoom, 150-400mm zoom, 300mm F2.8/F4, 400mm F5.6, 400mm DO, etc.

For the price you can't beat this gimbel head. Movement is smooth and very easy to use.Only issue i had is it doesn't work with my 70-200 .Had to buy a 4.5 foot to attach to my lense.I would recommend this to anyone starting out with gimbels.

Comments about Jobu Design Jobu Jr.3 Deluxe Gimbal Kit with Swing-Arm HM-J3D:
I do a fair amount of bird photography with a Canon 400mm f/5.6L which can be a bit slow for handheld shots when the light gets low. This gimbal is a perfect fit for that lens (which looks absurd on the huge Wimberley).
The Jr.3 has three possible mounting heights for the swing arm, and the 400mm lens works perfectly on the middle setting. This setting is also good for my 300mm f/4L.
The gimbal is well made and, when saddled with the weight of my 400mm and 7D, feels every bit as solid as my Wimberley.

Comments about Jobu Design Jobu Jr.3 Deluxe Gimbal Kit with Swing-Arm HM-J3D:
Nice quality construction at a reasonable price. The new swing arm is stiff and light. Do buy the specific foot for your lens. As a bonus, works great on a monopod!!! Cannot comment on very long lens uses. The max I tried was 300 mm f/2,8 with 2x extender and Nikon D4, wich was more than adequate.
