The Medalight PG200U Umbrella Bracket is uniquely designed to hold a reflective umbrella and a lighting head to a tripod or lightstand. The bracket has a tightening screw to keep the umbrella angled to permit its proper alignment with the light and also to allows positioning of the umbrella at the right spot for stability and balance on the stand. A ratchet handle employs a friction grip for tilting the light/strobe assembly to its desired orientation.

Three things I like about this item:
1) It's small and light.
2) The umbrella shaft is closer to the flash head than with other umbrella brackets.
3) Because one side is unobstructed by knobs or handles, it's possible to mount a hotshoe flash on a bracket alongside it, positioning the flash head closer to the umbrella shaft and filling the umbrella more evenly with light.
