The Lorex SD7+ Wireless Video Monitoring System with 7" LCD Monitor allows you to keep an eye on your property 24/7. This surveillance system consists of a 7" (17.78 cm) LCD monitor with a built-in recorder, and 2 indoor / outdoor cameras.

With a 1/4" CMOS sensor, the indoor / outdoor cameras record clear images at a maximum resolution of 640 x 480 pixels. A diagonal viewing angle of 52° allows them to monitor a broad surveillance area. The PIR heat sensors and video motion detection allow for improved motion recording even in unclear viewing conditions. Additionally, night-vision IR LEDs in the cameras along with the built-in light filter provide a night-vision range of 40’ (12 m), thus allowing for round-the-clock surveillance of your residential or office premises.

The 7” (17.78 cm) LCD monitor allows you to view live footage at a resolution of 640 x 480 pixels (10 fps). By connecting it with a computer that has Internet access, you can view surveillance footage from anywhere in the world via Skype. Two-way audio capability allows you to communicate with on-site visitors or potential intruders. You can conveniently mount the monitor under or over a counter, or on a wall. Additionally, with Plug and Play installation, your surveillance system will be up and running within minutes of unpacking.

Comments about Lorex SD7+ Wireless Video Monitoring System with 7" LCD Monitor:

Purchased this unit for simple viewing and recording of some storage buildings. Two weeks after purchased monitor/remote started malfunctioning. Motion detection button and motion light would not stay on. No way to know if it was recording. Customer service at Lorex is up and down. Sometimes you get through without waiting to long, sometimes your gonna be waiting a while. Why cant you just buy some equipment and let it work on its own without having to play the warranty game? New monitor is supposedly being sent if I pass the Warranty exam !!Performance wise, when it was working, it was ok. Recorded video quality isnt so great and not the same as viewing cameras live. Like watching slow animation. Camera viewing angles are very narrow. Really need more cameras. No battery back up for anything. If power is cut, everything stops. Trail cameras might be a better option..This is more of a baby monitor..

Comments about Lorex SD7+ Wireless Video Monitoring System with 7" LCD Monitor:

It's OK for what it is.

For remote viewing, you can only view one camera, not both. You can only select which camera you wish to view remotely via the LCD screen that comes with it.

Recording to the SD card is fine. But the motion is jerky; even when viewing live/real time on the LCD.

This will do if you're on a budget. But if you want better quality, I'd suggest to look at other wireless solutions or get a wired system. Of course, like most everything you buy, you get what you pay for.

Comments about Lorex SD7+ Wireless Video Monitoring System with 7" LCD Monitor:

I use the Lorex for indoor home surveillance, one upstairs and one downstairs. I previously had a single X-10 camera feeding an ancient 4" portable TV. It was time to upgrade. I went with the Lorex based on reviews from several sites. I've been using it a little over a month now.
      Likes:
      - camera lens is wide enough for covering a good portion of the room.
      - just the right monitor size for me
      - camera selection is easy to turn on/off
      - options to monitor a single camera, a combination of cameras by sequence, or 4 cameras on a quad-screen view.
      - the Infrared night vision and that is automatically switches to it if ambient light level drops.
      - ability to record by scheduling - but haven't recorded anything yet.
      Cons:
      - Image quality is not as sharp as I'd like - lower resolution than the X-10 it replaced. It's adequate and I've gotten used to it.
Overall, I'm impressed and would recommend it to others.

Comments about Lorex SD7+ Wireless Video Monitoring System with 7" LCD Monitor:

I have a modest 1 story ranch and have 3 cameras set up. The resolution is great, the range is OK (I have one set up no more than 50 feet away but it still says out of range occasionally). All in all, this is a nice entry-level camera system. The only negatives are 1); needs to be hard-wired for power and Skype 2); No volume control for cams (can get annoying). Still recommended!

I have to give the seller 5 stars, this came very quick and nothing broken.
The product it self gets 4 stars. The resolution could be better. When they show you the add pictures it all looks very clear and sharp but in reality they are a bit grainy. It's still a good enough picture to see who or what's going on. You cant beat the price, and I have no interference with my wi-fi what so ever.
            Overall its a good system.

Comments about Lorex SD7+ Wireless Video Monitoring System with 7" LCD Monitor:

I waited for this new Lorex SD7+ system to become available for three reasons. I like the front panel controls on the monitor, I needed the ability to record up to 4 cameras simultaneously and I wanted the dual motion detection technology (PIR and video motion detection). I temporarily mounted one camera in the basement of my bi-level home, pointing it lengthwise towards the opposite end of the basement 37 feet away. Daylight comes in the front windows so I have been able to test the unit in light and darkness. The system seems to have no problem detecting motion at that full distance in light or darkness. I mounted the other camera on a table tripod in the kitchen located on the first floor. The monitor is in my bedroom two rooms away. I get full signal strength from both cameras. The picture quality is good. I also tested the signal strength of camera 2 from atop a step ladder placed near the front of my detached garage which is located near the opposite end of the house from my bedroom. The signal strength was still maximum despite the fact that my house is clad in aluminum siding. I tested most of the system's features and everything seems to work as advertised. I only found one minor mechanical issue. The under-counter mount (same as camera mounts) is just a little light for the monitor. I can't get it tight enough to completely avoid movement when I use the controls. Considering the featues, performance, ease of use, easy menu navigation and very reasonable price, I had to give this system 5 stars.
