The housing provides access to all camera functions via mechanical controls, including knobs and push-buttons. It is constructed from durable polycarbonate, which is clear to enable you to monitor the O-ring seal, and has a built-in flat glass lens port. As the housing does not permit the camera's built-in flash to fire and has no strobe connector, a constant light is required in order to have sufficient illumination for clear photo and video capture (light not included). Comments about Polaroid Underwater Housing for Canon PowerShot G11 / G12 Digital Camera:

The service was excellent, I received my product quickly, and B&H provided it at a cost far below competitors. I had to give my experience only 3 stars because there was a minor assembly error on my equipment which made it unusable, however, I have been able to return the item for a refund and have no hesitation to come back to B&H for future purchases.

Comments about Polaroid Underwater Housing for Canon PowerShot G11 / G12 Digital Camera:

I have a G11 and it fits perfectly. Shots taken underwater are far better - eons better - not even comparable to what you would get with a point and shoot underwater camera that requires no aftermarket housing.

Comments about Polaroid Underwater Housing for Canon PowerShot G11 / G12 Digital Camera:

I can't quite give this housing 5 stars yet, as I have only tested it out in the sink at home so far... I'll be able to get a full review in a few weeks! Since I am new to underwater photograpy, I have no basis for comparision to other, probably more expensive housings, but this Polaroid so far seems like a great deal. I tested it twice in the sink and found no evidence of any leaks. Small bubbles did form on the outside of the glass, in front of the camera lens, but I purchased some anti-fog liquid for snorkeling masks and the like, so that will probably do the trick. This is currently sold out at many retailers, which is why I chose BH... but that's not a problem since, in my experience, they ship quickly and have very competitive prices.

Works great, brought it scuba diving a few times and all was good. Only issue I ran across is that is fogs up really quick and it is pretty large and cumbersome, but it does the job.

Comments about Polaroid Underwater Housing for Canon PowerShot G11 / G12 Digital Camera:

I have taken it below 8 feet in the pool a couple of times since I got it and so far it has kept my G12 dry. I would have rated the product 5 stars if it had a button to control the aperture setting. I haven't taken enough pictures underwater to be able to tell if I can get real sharp photos.
