I bought this with the intent of casual use and pictures of the kids at play. We took it to Aquatica and I took some photos of the kids in and under the water. Perfect. I even gave it to my 7 year old daughter who took photo after photo under water and swimming. Not a hitch! She managed to kill the battery having so much fun with it. Brought it back home, charged it up, and it turned right on.

Bought this camera specifically for a vacation to the Bahamas (Atlantis resort) and the view finder was fogged up the entire trip. The manual states that if the fogging issue happens it is not an issue with the camera but with the humidity of your environment. Then why would anyone buy this camera?? Also the camera stopped taking pictures on the 2nd day with it being stuck some sort of ERROR about chosing PC or PICBRIDGE to transfer pics. I didn't want to transfer pics!! I had over 2000 pictures left on my SD card to take. What a nightmare!! Good thing I brought 2 of my other cameras with me, my Canon SX40 Powershot and my CanonElph 300 HS which worked great but they are not water proof so any shots in the pools or water park just were not happening since the Lumix failed. Do not buy this camera even if its on sale and sounds like a good deal.. I was convinced by the AWESOME write-ups an expect opinions that this was the perfect camera but they are just lies. Now I'm stuck with an unreliable camera. Probably just give it to my 9 year old daughter to have fun with. Also the battery life between charges was poor, had to recharge twice on the 1st day. The only thing good I can say about this is I like the look of the camera, shame is stinks.

Comments about Lumix DMC-TS25 Digital Camera (Blue):

Used the Lumix on a river rafting trip. It took reasonably good pixs and videos ... a waterproof camera was essential!
The shutter was awkwardly placed for me, which caused me to miss a number of shots.
Water droplets on the lens caused problems with sun flare.

Comments about Lumix DMC-TS25 Digital Camera (Blue):

Takes great pictures and movies underwater and on dry land. Not super great pictures, but a great value for the money. I got this camera partly for underwater shots and for my kids to do their stop-motion stuff, and it worked just fine for that. Unfortunately, mine croaked at about 10 months old, with no evident signs of trauma- just stopped taking pitcures, tough it would display old ones. I sent it in to Panasonic and they replaced it immediately, no questions asked.

We purchased this camera specifically for underwater use. At the first opportunity we tried it out and were very impressed. The pictures were very clear and the video was amazing! We haven't really noticed anything about the camera that we don't like! Also received very fast ship time from B & H which was an added bonus.

For the price it's a great little camera. It takes good pictures, small, easy to use. I haven't had it in the water yet but will soon fine out. Don't like the zoom controls on the back of the camera, wish they were on top.

Comments about Lumix DMC-TS25 Digital Camera (Red):

Use this camera for pool, beach, canoeing, horseback riding, when it's raining, when it's snowing, or, as you can see, for any active thing my family does. This camera is good for any and all those things. I never have to worry about damaging the camera due to water, snow, or when it's dropped.Internally, the camera is very good. Great pictures! Great videos! So, on to what's disappointing... all around handling the camera while doing our activities. I have relied on the DMC-TS2 version of this camera for years! Slightly larger, but my go-to action camera - in a car, boat, snowshoes, horse, etc.1. This newer version is smaller and thinner, yes. But I have the smallest hand in my family, and it's almost too small. My hand has actually cramped trying to hold on to it after several pictures. (See comment on strap.) 2. I'm a righty, and there's no good way to hold it without pushing on the other buttons.3. I cannot operate all the buttons with 1 hand (to zoom, change settings, etc.)while I'm doing my activity, which is what I need to do when horseback riding. (It's not advisable to do the "Look, Ma, no hands" thing!) Lumix needs to put the zoom button back up on top to make 1 handed operation possible.4. I like the older hand strap that I could tighten so that I never had to worry about the camera falling. With this, I have to hold on to it. (Ergo, the cramping comment.)5. My older camera came with a gel casing that was probably more peace of mind. But I liked that it protected the camera, the battery/card compartement from opening.6. I realize that this camera does more than my older one. But I bought this for our adventures. And it's slower between pictures. I've missed passing wildlife, birds, etc., as the camera stores my previous picture.

Comments about Lumix DMC-TS25 Digital Camera (Blue):

Took the camera on a family cruise & it was used for both group photos and an underwater snorkeling session by the grandchildren. It is important to be careful to follow the directions re: underwater use and observe the depth limitations, but doing so yielded quite satisfactory pix. If you take shortcuts, like opening the camera to access the card or battery after use underwater, you may have a problem if you do not follow the special directions for cleaning.

Nice size, slim. Photos are good, not the best available but I don't expect them to be since I did not purchase the best camera available. For the price, I am very happy with it. It looks sleek and I love the black. I wish it had a viewfinder but I can do without one. I like the many different scene settings. The panoramic is really fun to use. Works well under water. I have not had any problems with it so far

Purchased for my teenage daughter. She loves it. She has used it under fresh and salt water and it is still working just fine.

Comments about Lumix DMC-TS25 Digital Camera (Blue):

I works, but image quality is not good (IQ is much lower than my expectation because I mainly use Nikon D800. So it may be OK for some people). It got fogged easily, so you must open the door and put it under the sun for 10-20 minutes to remove the fog. Moreover, the dynamic range is not good and you cannot shoot in RAW.

I like the look of the camera and the solid feel. It is definitely well-built. However the photo quality.. I'm disappointed. I took same photos with both this camera and my smart phone, Samsung galaxy note 2. I was shocked to see that my phone actually takes better photos than this camera. . more details and w more vibrant colors. I guess I shouldn't expect much when I paid only 100 bucks for it.

Comments about Lumix DMC-TS25 Digital Camera (Blue):

We bought this right before spending a week at a water park resort at Myrtle Beach. It fulfilled its intended function perfectly. Having a camera that can go in the water and get sand on it, and tossed in a bag with other beach stuff when it's time to go, is a big convenience. We considered both this and the TS5, and in the end we didn't want to spend the extra money on the TS5 considering we already have a G5 and a ZS19, and this camera would only come out when in the water. Took some indoor comparison shots with the ZS19 and confirmed that the TS25 isn't going to replace it as a P&S, and I doubt the TS5 would have either. Now that we're back home this will stay in a drawer. However, the hundreds of photos of our 2-year-old that we got during that one week alone, which we couldn't have gotten with our other cameras while in the water, were worth the sale price we paid for it. Since it won't get that much use, it should last us quite awhile for future vacations. One other thing to consider if you're buying it primarily for water use is that any potential increase in video quality between this and the TS5 is going to be negated by shooting through a lens with water splashed on it and/or ocean spray caked on it. You can see as our photos progress how the images become more and more washed out until we're able to get back to a cloth and wipe it off. And there are water spots on some of the photos and videos. Using Adobe Lightroom and Cyberlink PowerDirector to crank the contrast slider to the max and increase the saturation helps tremendously, but it's still obvious you're taking pictures with a wet camera. Don't get me wrong, the wet photos and videos are infinitely better than no photos and videos. I'm very glad we got this camera, and equally glad we ONLY got this camera and didn't pay extra for more megapixels or 1080p vs 720p video. If you're planning to make this your only P&S the TS5 might be better, but if you want something to supplement your other camera(s) for water use, this is a better value. I also like that it came with a standard wall charger that you can use to charge a battery outside the camera, and we picked up a couple third party batteries. Never needed to use them, though, one battery was enough to get us by each day.
