I carry a Toyo 45AX 4x5 field camera, 2 lenses for it and an EOS 5D with 3 lenses in this backpack. It has plenty of room for all this.

It is very lightweight compared with the competition.

This pack is far from perfect. The waistbelt at its smallest size is 36 inches. I had to modify it as I wear a size 32. There is no way to strap on a tripod without adding your own straps. I went to a camping supply place and got some straps with buckles that work nicely for holding my tripod.

This pack is reasonably priced but has some serious downsides, especially for trimmer people. I have a waistline of 34"—not especially small—but because this pack's flimsy waist-belt will not adjust down to my size, the entire weight of the contents sits on the shoulders.

The best features of the bag are its spacers, pockets and pouches for all your large format gear. The detachable side pouches alone make this pack unique and very handy for a LF 4x5 shooter, as they can easily hold five film holders each. Inside there's plenty of room for a 4x5 camera, three or four lenses on linhof-style lensboards, your meter, and even a second system. I put my Hasselblad and extension tubes in alongside and a handheld computer. All that stuff gets heavy, so....

Avoid this one if you have a smallish waist. The straps area all really thin and don't spread the weight out very well.

Comments about BP Large Backpack (Gray):

This is a great backpack. Perfect size for a 4x5 camera and needed equipment. Only downfall is that that the waist support is too big to fit around my waist. It is detachable though and works just fine without it. For longer hikes it might be useful though. All around great product. It's light and allows me to carry equipment with ease.

i carry 2 digital SLR bodies and 3 lenses as well as flash equip. lots and lots of room. well balanced bag, doesnt fall over when you set it down (which always seemed to happen with the bags i bought previously). highly adjustable and has clips to add on a tri-pod or other pocket bags.
i carry it with me daily. there isnt much i would change.

Comments about BP Large Backpack (Black):

Bought this for a 4X5 system, based on others stating how large it was.
While I might be able to fit all my gear, there is no possible way to configure it with the camera at the bottom (where I want it), and even then, it would be a very tight fit (and this with only two lenses).
The velcro strips to attach/configure the dividers are very narrow and their placement greatly limits your ability to set them up how you would like.
On a positive note, the external pouches are nice, and will accept 6 rather than the stated 4 film holders.
Depending on whether the velcro strips are positioned differently, you might be better off with the BPX for a large format system.

It's durable, and it's huge. I have two bodies, seven lenses, and other stuff packed in mine, and there's still room for more. It's been around the block, but hasn't failed me yet. I especially appreciate all of the strap attachments for adding external lens cases, etc. I also like that it has a low key look that doesn't scream "camera bag!!!" to thieves.

Comments about BP Large Backpack (Gray):

I've owned lots of camera bags and systems and I think I finally found the one I was looking for.
Lots of space and quite confortable with all the gear fitted inside. General access is easy and fast, lots of small pockets to stock filters and minor accessories.
Construction is not quite at the level of top notch products, but it does the job.
Great for travelling because of the size of the bag (fits carry on limits) and the weight (very light bag compared to the others offered by the market). And last but not least it does not look too attracting witch is good when you have lots of valuable gear on your back!

I won't give it a five star just because the waist belt seems studied for oversized people and there is no rain cover.

Comments about BP Large Backpack (Black):

I like the heavy construction of the Backpack it self. Plenty of tie downs on the out side for more pouches, tripods. The utility belt is well made and allows for even more pouches to be attached, and help releave the wait off your shoulders. The inside is highly configurable for about any camera gear setup. There is enough room for two 35mm size cameras and still have room for additional lens. The outer compartment allows for storage of filters and manuals. I have owned this back pack for 5 years and still like new. The best camera bag I have seen to date.
