The RadioPopper PX-RN Receiver with Nikon Mounting Bracket maintains the ETTL/iTTL functions of your camera and flash while adding radio triggering that can fire your flash at distances of 300 to 1,750' depending on the prevailing conditions.

While the receiver is compatible with both Canon and Nikon flash units, this version comes with a Nikon mount. When used with the required PX Transmitter on your master flash or commander, slave flash units equipped with the a receiver can get TTL or iTTL signals by radio which are then translated into IR commands without the limitation of having to be in line of sight with each other. Put simply, the RadioPopper enhances your ETTL/iTTL system by allowing it to act like a radio slave.

The 16-channel receiver allows you to cluster flash units in up to 3 groups that can be controlled and fired simultaneously or group by group. The PX-RN gets approximately 25 hours of power-on time from the two included AAA batteries. As mentioned above, it requires use of an PX transmitter for operation.

Comments about RadioPopper PX-RN Receiver with Nikon Mounting Bracket:

It wouldn't work well at first till I tried resetting it then it was good. The bracket does work to secure the unit to my SB910 BUT it's not something that you can just throw on in a second. I shoot weddings and need something fast to mount and unmount. It fits tight and takes some effort to get it all lined up and so because of that I am instead using Velcro to mount the receiver. I have the sensor on the unit and my flash surrounded by Velcro which holds it on tight AND keeps stray light out. I haven't used the unit at an event yet but I'm confident that I'm gonna like the radio poppers. In fact I just ordered a second one.

Comments about RadioPopper PX-RN Receiver with Nikon Mounting Bracket:

Only thing about this product that was an issue was lining up the cover to the sensor. It may take a couple of tries. Overall, good product that allowed me to use the Nikon CLS to control remote flashes. No programming or need to hook it up to a computer to set it up. Love that. If you are a CLS user, this is a great product to move up to.
