Comments about Sony BDP-S3100 Blu-ray Disc Player with Super Wi-Fi:
Had to buy a separate HDMI cable as they don't include one, they need to make this more clear. Got the cable, dvd works great, WIFI, am still trying to set it up after a week. Real pain and I have all my codes and the dvd player still can't acess my system.

Comments about Sony BDP-S3100 Blu-ray Disc Player with Super Wi-Fi:
I have an older Sony LCD TV and the remote automatically works with the TV. It also hooked right up with my WIFI on the second try. Very cool.

Comments about Sony BDP-S3100 Blu-ray Disc Player with Super Wi-Fi:
You can save the extra $100 on a smart tv since this does all that and more. It connects to my wireless router fast. It plays all my photos and movies with an SD card reader. It plays anything that you want to put on a thumb drive. Be advised that it has very few output connections though so unless you have an audio coax connection or an HDMI connection into your amp, then you don't want this player. The internet browser works well enough as long as you have at least a 2.5 mbps connection. I haven't tried Netflix or any on- line HD movie services yet. CD's play great but my one complaint is that this machine has no display of it's own so you need to turn your TV on just to see what track you are playing. If you use it for lots of music CDs, this may be a problem for you.

Comments about Sony BDP-S3100 Blu-ray Disc Player with Super Wi-Fi:
Just bought this player 3 days ago. Had the other top brand along with a not so old Sony. The Wi-Fi range is 10x better! Where I used to have buffering before..... NO MORE! (same cable provider and same exact place I had the other players) The picture with streaming and dvd is even better then my PS3. As hard as I am to be happy with a product, I am blown away! This is my first written review ever. I had to let buyers know this is finally the way a blu-ray player supposed to work....PERIOD!
