Comments about Carson MicroPen LED Illuminated Microscope Pen:

Buy the Carson CP-11 X-Scope 7-Function Optical Tool from B&H, instead. Why?1) Almost any zoom system will not give as crisp an image as almost any comparable single-focus system. This little guy is the poster child for that problem.2) The device is never perfectly orthogonal (perpendicular) to the surface being viewed, because only ~1/3 of the tip contacts the surface, tilting the focal plane.3) Even if you have two steady hands, and keep your elbows on a stable surface, turning the focus knob and keeping the target in view is, well, beyond me.High magnification requires high stability and high alignment; this is just the wrong design for that.

I would give it 5 stars if it was more stable, so it some how difficult to hold with your hand to focus on a little high objects
