The Philips DVP3880K Multi-Region DVD Player features a ProReader Drive, EasyLink function and CinemaPlus technology. It supports Full HD 1080p resolution via HDMI and DVD upscaling to Full HD quality. The DVP3880K provides Karaoke Record and Karaoke Idol functions for recording yourself singing and competing with friends. The DVP3880K also features a front panel USB port, which you can use to display your videos and photos on your TV or listen to your digital music. For optimum sound quality, the player supports advanced audio formats like Dolby Digital. Other connectivity options include component video, composite video, RCA analog audio and digital coaxial audio.
- CinemaPlus
- The intelligent CinemaPlus algorithm goes right down to each pixel in each frame, analyzing it before optimizing sharpness and color stability. The results provide clear, natural images.
- ProReader Drive
- Even when old discs get smudgy or scratched, the ProReader Drive will play right through from start to end - without any sign that they have been damaged. It converts weak analog signals into robust digital ones, extracting information that allows less-than-perfect discs to play smoothly through. It also supports the ability to read virtually any video format.
- HDMI 1080p
- HDMI 1080p upscaling converts movies in standard-definition to true high-definition resolution - ensuring more details and true-to-life pictures. Progressive Scan, or the "p" in 1080p, eliminates the line structure prevalent on TV screens, again ensuring sharp images. Plus, HDMI makes a direct digital connection that can carry uncompressed digital HD video as well as digital multi-channel audio, without conversions to analog - delivering high-quality picture and sound.
- USB Media Link
- With USB Media Link, all you have to do is plug in your USB device, select the movie, music or photo and hit play. It supports popular file formats and is conveniently located on the front panel for easy access. You can also rotate and zoom pictures, as well as present a slideshow.
- EasyLink
- EasyLink lets you control multiple devices like DVD players, Blu-ray players, TVs and more - with one remote. It uses HDMI CEC industry-standard protocol to share functionality between devices through the HDMI cable. With one touch of a button, you can operate all your connected HDMI CEC enabled equipment simultaneously.
- Karaoke Record
- Karaoke Record is an advanced feature that records your singing performance and converts the file to MP3 format for playback on your portable media player. Simply plug your thumb drive or portable media player connected to a USB cable into the DVD player's USB port. Your singing will be encoded in a compressed format, resulting in a space-saving MP3 file. Then, you can enjoy your own singing while on-the-go or share it with friends.
- Karaoke Idol
- Add more fun and excitement to your karaoke sessions. Karaoke Idol allows two or more singers to compete against each other for the crown. Singers take turns singing and the Philips karaoke scoring system analyzes how well each singer performs. After each performance, the system displays a humorous cartoon showing what it thought of the singer's ability as well as a score. The singer with the highest score at the end of the game wins the title of Karaoke Idol.
- One-Touch MP3 Creation
- Convert the contents of your favorite CDs to MP3 files using the DVD player, and store it directly on a thumb drive or on your portable media player through a USB cable. Enjoy the convenience of creating MP3 files right in your living room, without a PC, and even while the CD is playing.
