Comments about Sony ICD-UX533 Digital Flash Voice Recorder (Black):

This is a good recorder. I still have to figure out how best to use the file system. The instructions are not clear on that. The recorder is compact and light and excellant sound quality. I use it for lectures and meetings. It don't come with a carrying case. I don't remember seeing any tech-support that is provided. I would recommend this product to others.

Comments about Sony ICD-UX533 Digital Flash Voice Recorder (Black):

I purchased this recorder to augment meeting notes taken by hand. I've had a chance to use it a few times already and I'm very impressed with it's ability to pick up even the most soft spoken voice levels in large conference rooms. It truly is impressive. The critical key in realizing its ability is to use the included earbuds for play back. The built in speaker is barely usable...in fact I almost considered docking my rating by a star because of it, but I think Sony's intention is to use the earbuds given they are included. It would also be easy to link it up to an external speaker. I also really like that it's rechargeable, but utilizes a standard AAA battery configuration for emergencies. For the money I think it's a great buy.

As usual, smooth as silk transaction and fast shipping from B&H.

Comments about Sony ICD-UX533 Digital Flash Voice Recorder (Black):

My comments should be taken as being from someone that knows next to nothing about these type of recorders. I bought this recorder to use when interviewing people about genealogy. I wish that I would have been more observant about the size of this recorder, maybe I would have realized that it had to have a very small speaker. I am very disappointed by the sound quality. I own other Sony products and have always been pleased with them. Other than the sound quality it seems pretty well made and has a lot of features. I am recommending this item for everything but the sound quality.
