The Tilt-Shift 24mm f/3.5 ED AS UMC Lens for Nikon from Rokinon is a wide-angle, full-frame lens fitted with the perspective control and tilt-shift functions. A tilt-shift lens allows the user to control perspective and correct convergence of lines within your frame, useful especially in architecture, landscape and product photography. The optical tilt mechanisms enable precise control of depth of field along with perspective control. It is compatible with both digital and film formats with an angle of view of 83.5º and on an APS-C size sensor has an angle of view of 59.9º and focal length equivalent of 36mm.

The tilt-shift function on the 24mm f/3.5 lens allows adjustment of the focal plane by an angle of +/-8.5º and enables parallel shift of the optical axis by +/-12mm. The tilt-shift section of the lens rotates left 90º (click-stop adjustment each 30º) and the lens mount can rotate left or right by 90º (click-stop adjustment each 30º).

The lens is comprised of 16 elements in 11 groups, including two aspherical lenses and two Enhanced Dispersion (ED) lenses, which reduce aberrations and provide sharp details and accurate color separation. Multi-layered, anti-reflective UMC coating on each lens element allow even light transmission, minimizing flares and ghosting.

Comments about Rokinon Tilt-Shift 24mm f/3.5 ED AS UMC Lens for Nikon:

Nice lens for practice TS lenses without paying so much for the originals. Also has the possibility to Tilt and Shift in the same axis, impossible with the Nikon model, so it is good enough for me

Comments about Rokinon Tilt-Shift 24mm f/3.5 ED AS UMC Lens for Nikon:

The lens is very light weight. It is sharp. Been shooting mostly at f8 . image quality is good (shooting on Nikon D800).
Adjustments are easy to use but the knobs are to small for big fingers. But you get used to this quiclkly.
If you haven't used a TS lens before plan on doing some reading and watching tutorials. any TS lens is not a pop it on and start shooting lens'
Only downside is there is no lens hood for it

          Shifting at the right price

          By Nikon335

          from Painesville Ohio

Comments about Rokinon Tilt-Shift 24mm f/3.5 ED AS UMC Lens for Nikon:

At well under the 1K mark this is a great lens. Unlike the Nikon version you can rotate the shift or tilt with the flick of a switch. Downside is you have to open the aperture manually to focus and then stop it down again to shoot. Since you are usually on a tripod shooting architectural work this is not a great problem. I was amazed at how good of a macro this lens is as well.

-Live view or mirror lock up is a must to prevent vibration.
-When focussing you have to be carefull not to pass the ∞ or you will be out of focus.
-Framing is great, just level the camera and shift up.
