The gunmetal and black Espionage Camera Backpack from Timbuk2 holds your DSLR, three lenses, flash and accessories. It's also sized to hold your 17" MacBook Pro in a separate compartment. Camera and personal gear are held in separate compartments. The main compartment has a touch fastened flap closure that can also be fastened roll-top style using a security clip. This design can be used to expand the pack's footprint as well as increase its weather-resistance by sealing the pack with extra folded material. If you don't want to use the roll-top feature, you can access your gear when the pack is placed flat and unzipped.

This pack features a pass-through smart zip access to the main compartment from the camera section. Adjustable, exterior tripod attachment straps are also included. The exterior contains a stretch pocket for a water bottle or bicycle U-lock.  Removable, padded dividers allow you to create individual compartments for your gear. The bottom of the pack has a zipper that allows you to remove the dividers to create one large storage space. Additional storage space is provided by internal and external accessory pockets. The laptop compartment is lined with soft tricot that won't scratch the finish of your computer. The pack is made from ballistic nylon and TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane).

A removable rain cover can be rapidly deployed when the weather turns against you. The pack even comes with a handy bottle opener that's attached inside. The Espionage is carried by adjustable backpack straps or its top grab handle. A waist belt and sternum strap help maintain stability while you're in transit.

Comments about Timbuk2 Espionage Camera Backpack (Gunmetal/Black):

nicely put together, design is well thought out. It is a bit heavy, but all photo backpacks are. On the plus side, since the design of the pack puts the weight so close to your back the only time I really feel the weight is when I pick it up. Doesn't look too photographer-dorky. It's really fun pretending to be a hipster.

the photo compartment can zip up and open up to the rest of the main compartment, so you can use it as a full-sized regular pack if you want.

Comments about Timbuk2 Espionage Camera Backpack (Gunmetal/Black):

This is an awesome bag. After a TON of research I finally got this bag as it went on sale. It is the perfect size to fit my system. In the camera compartment I can fit: Fuji X-E1, Fuji 10-24, Fuji 55-200, Fuji 35, shutter release cable and charger. In the top compartment I can fit my filters, a jacket, sun glasses, phone, wallet, and headphones with plenty of room to spare. The outer material is very nice. Overall, this is a fantastic bag.

Comments about Timbuk2 Espionage Camera Backpack (Gunmetal/Black):

I have just taken my first trip with this bag, and I'm very impressed. I was able to fit two cameras and six lenses without too much trouble in the main compartment: a Mamiya 7 II with mounted 80mm, three other lenses for the Mamiya (43mm, 65mm, and 150mm), a Leica M240 with mounted 50mm, and a 28mm lens for the Leica. (With the dividers, the main compartment had 5 separate sections; the Leica 28 had to share a space with one of the Mamiya lenses.) The rest of the bag held my Macbook Air, various filters and accessories, various books, a copy of the New Yorker, and a tripod. With all this gear, the pack was pretty heavy, but it felt comfortable on my back, and the straps fit well. (I'm 5'9".) And it still had a very slim profile. I would definitely recommend this bag--it's now my favorite way to carry my Mamiya kit.

Comments about Timbuk2 Espionage Camera Backpack (Gunmetal/Black):

I purchased this backpack after having tried several other photo bags. I am a photojournalism student and I needed a pack that could maintain not only my camera body and 2-3 extra lenses, but also a laptop, notebooks, snacks and a good number of accessories.

I love the Timbuk2 Espionage backpack. It houses all of my gear beautifully and seems well protected. It has ample extra storage space which is ideal for me, including laptop pocket. It is well designed with many usable pockets, a water bottle holder, and a tripod holder.

In addition, the camera portion of the bag breaks down so that the pack can be used as a large backpack. This backpack has been great for class, as well as day trips and I plan to use it for travel as well, which I believe it will excel at.

Comments about Timbuk2 Espionage Camera Backpack (Gunmetal/Black):

I used this backpack very useful. I use it for all my day trips, and walking around city streets. I can feel that this was built well. I can fit all my gear (canon 7d, canon 50mm f1.8, canon 18-135mm f3.5-5.6) it fits nicely on the bottom. I can also fit some extra day things in the roll top. The only thing that I wish this timbuk2 back pack came with is the velco silencers, because the roll top is really loud when opening it. Some people like the velco, but I am afraid that the velco with start to wear out. Other than that, this is the perfect backpack for my casual shooting needs

Comments about Timbuk2 Espionage Camera Backpack (Gunmetal/Black):

This thing hauls a bunch of stuff. I have an Olympus OMD E-M5, a 7.5mm fisheye, 17mm f1.8, 25mm f1.4 w/lens hood, my 60mm Macro w/lens hood, small included flash, my Fl300 Flash, HLD-6 hand grips, 2 extra batteries, my charger, filter pouch, deep eye cup, a SLR Zoom Gorillapod, 15" Retina Macbook Pro, a WD 2 tb hd, my Nexus 4, a thin Northface Softshell, my lunch (2 turkey Sandwiches), and a Banana. I took these all to work with me in my Timbuk2 Espionage. I moved up from a Lowepro backpack (forgot the model) and think the Timbuk2 is superior in every way. I love it. Thank you Timbuk2. See my pics added above for more detailed info.
