Product Highlights
  • Panchromatic B&W Reversal Film
  • ISO 100 / 21° in R-100 Process
  • Very Fine Grain and Sharpness
  • High Resolving Power and Contrast
  • For Use with Still Imagery and Movies

The Foma Fomapan R100 135-36 Black and White Transparency Film is a medium speed black and white reversal film for making slides or filming movies. When processed in the R-100 process, a nominal speed rating of ISO 100 / 21° can be achieved. The film exhibits notable differentiations between grey tones in the highlight and shadow regions, and its panchromatic sensitivity provides accurate depiction of a full range of color tones into the grey scale when exposed under daylight conditions. An antihalo layer is integrated between the film base and emulsion to provide high image sharpness and resolving power, with fine grain and high contrast.

This item is one 36-exposure roll of 35mm (135) film.

Comments about Fomapan R100 135-36 Black and White Transparency Film:

I really like the look of the black and white transparency film. I believe the key to the great look is proper processing. Have it processed using the dr5 chrome method. If you don't know what I am talking about do a search. I wish this film came in other sizes. If your final product includes digital scanning, this might be for you. I find this film scans better then many B&W negative films, processed as negatives.

Comments about Fomapan R100 135-36 Black and White Transparency Film:

Fine grain and very good tonality. Will produce great looking Black and White transparencies that project or scan very well. If you process Black and White negative film you can process this film too. The Foma kits are hard to locate in the US and are expensive. But Foma publishes a spec sheet for the film that lists the chemicals necessary and processing times. The chemidals are easily obtained from a photographic chemical formulary. If you can shoot accurately and want to process film at home, you will enjoy using this film.

Comments about Fomapan R100 135-36 Black and White Transparency Film:

Good film--good tonal range and grain. Unless you have Foma's proprietary chemistry expect to use a 16mm lab or the like to develop it--it's basically movie film.
