Amplify your entertainment experience with the Onkyo TX-NR626 7.2-Channel Network A/V Receiver. This power-packed system comes equipped with WRAT (wide range amplifier technology) that uses a low negative-feedback and closed ground loop circuit to reduce signal noise and distortion. Also, Phase-Matching Bass Boost improves sound clarity by optimizing low-frequency sound output.

This 3D-ready system delivers lossless, high-definition audio using Dolby TrueHD/Pro Logic IIz and DTS-HD Master Audio formats. These formats are carried by 6 HDMI inputs, which also support 4k up-scaling and pass-through. Marvell’s Qdeo processor upscales standard videos to deliver stunning 1080p imagery on 4K-compatible HDTVs. Additionally, 2 HDMI outputs come with Audio Return Channel (ARC) that lets you amp up your TV volume through the receiver. The system also features 2 USB ports that can be connected to iOS-enabled media players or mass storage devices for instant audio playback. The USB port gives a direct digital signal, allowing for clear sound quality.

The remote control app on your TX-NR626 lets you monitor playback, adjust settings, and handle content on your home theater system via your Apple or Android device. And, it also allows you to stream audio from your iPhone or Android device directly to your receiver. Using a free app, you can connect this receiver to your home network for internet radio and music streaming.

Furthermore, with built-in Wi-Fi capability, you can stream high-resolution, lossless, and compressed files from your smartphones, PCs, tablets, or NAS devices, and pair up or stream audio via the built-in Bluetooth.

Supports 4K Video Content

Pass-through of native 4K (or four times Full HD) from source devices to an appropriate display is fully enabled.

4K Video Upscaling via Qdeo Technology

The TX-NR626 uses class-leading Qdeo technology from Marvell to upscale standard video sources to silky-smooth 1080p (for regular HDTVs) and out to an incredible 4K on compatible displays.

Music Streaming and Internet Radio Services

The TX-NR626 comes preloaded with the most popular music streaming and internet radio services, such as Spotify, Last.fm, and TuneIn Radio. And they're easily selectable using the receiver's GUI or the remote control app. Explore more than 10,000 radio stations and enjoy albums and playlists with theater-fidelity sound. 1

Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Streaming Technology

The TX-NR626 connects to the wireless home network without LAN cables or adapters. Send a huge range of high-resolution, lossless, and compressed files to your home cinema from smartphone, PC, tablet, NAS device, and online sources using the free remote app to control playback. You can also pair up and enjoy high quality wireless audio streaming using built-in Bluetooth technology.

MHL for Mobile Phones and Tablets

A rear side MHL/HDMI terminal is included to connect smartphones and other electronic devices. MHL allows you to display 1080p video and other media on your HDTV with 7.1 channels of surround sound. Playback is controlled using the receiver's remote as your device gets a handy recharge.

HDMI for High-Resolution Playback

The TX-NR626 features 6 HDMI inputs to accept high-resolution content from your media players and gaming consoles. HDMI enables Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio formats, and supports 3D video. Two outputs are included to connect your HDTV and video projector.

Quick and Easy Remote App Control

Remote apps for iPhone and Android devices offer a convenient way to control your home entertainment from anywhere within wireless range. The app offers a clear interface for managing playback, adjusting settings, and handling content across multiple zones.

Hassle-Free Video Switching

InstaPrevue technology names your HDMI devices and displays video thumbnails of available content. Now you can switch sources without having to remember what device is connected where.

Overlaid Menus for Quick Adjustments

Touch the Quick Set-Up button on your remote to overlay menus on the program being viewed. From here, you can access useful audio/video settings without interruption to your viewing. The overlaid Home Menu, meanwhile, offers simple icons for choosing a media source, and more detailed system adjustment. Onkyo's WRAT (Wide Range Amp Technology) includes discrete low-negative-feedback amplifiers for true-to-life sound; closed ground-loop circuits to reduce noise; and high instantaneous current to counter impedance fluctuations. On the critical front and center channels, Three-Stage Inverted Darlington Circuitry is used to handle reference-level playback without distorting.

Audyssey MultEQ

MultEQ equalizes your system to tailor the sound to suit the unique shape of your room. Measuring six listening positions, MultEQ applies filters to satellites and subwoofers to create a perfectly balanced soundstage.

Audyssey Dynamic EQ

Dynamic EQ solves the problem of deteriorating sound quality at low volume. It selects the best frequency response and surround levels moment-by-moment, resulting in an optimal listening experience at any volume.

Audyssey Dynamic Volume

Audyssey Dynamic Volume compensates for volume fluctuations in different audio content - for example, during noisy commercial breaks - and adjusts the volume in real time.

Dolby Pro Logic IIz for Expanded Surround Sound

Dolby Pro Logic IIz adds a vertical dimension to the soundstage, expanding the surround-sound from 5.1-channel or stereo sources to 7.1 channels. Front height channels carry ambient, non-directional audio to immerse you further into movies and games.

High-Quality Digital-to-Analog Converter

The TX-NR626 employs an 8-channel 192 kHz/24-bit TI Burr-Brown DAC for dynamic performance and improved jitter tolerance, which translates into clearer, more expressive sound from your speakers.

Phase-Matching Bass Enhancement

Onkyo's PM Bass optimizes low frequencies while preserving mid-range clarity. It counters phase shifting (which can affect sound quality) by synchronizing the timing of different frequencies. The result is deep, well-defined bass that won't overwhelm vocals or strings.

Hybrid Standby Power-Saving Mode

HDMI pass-through and network connectivity are maintained while the receiver is powered down. This facilitates use of your TV and other devices without turning on the receiver, saving energy.

Multi-Zone Audio and Bi-Amping Capability

The TX-NR626 features Powered Zone 2 banana-plug speaker terminals and Zone 2 line-outs. This means you can power audio in another room equipped with stereo speakers, using the remote app to manage playback across both zones. You can also assign surround channels to bi-amp your front monitors.

added this to a SONY 52XBR, POLK RM surrounds, XBOX 360, Apple TV & Harmony remote. Very easy plug and play setup. The microphone audio setup was quick & effective. Much fuller sound than with my old HK247. A powered Zone 2 is great for kitchen/outside speakers.

Comments about Onkyo TX-NR626 7.2-Channel Network A/V Receiver:

Purchased this full-featured AV Receiver when I upgraded my TV to a new hi def flat screen. Integrated not only the new TV, but some older components (DVD, CD Player, even a 10-year old iPod Dock) and Web-based apps like Amazon, Pandora, etc. Took some work but sound and programming have revitalized all of my home entertainment options!

Unit took HDMI, component, and analog connection, wireless and Bluetooth, even optical audio and the Onkyo RI connector to my iPod dock.

I got this receiver to replace an old Sony. The price was right and it is well worth the money. Logging into online options like XM and Spotify is clunky and takes a long time to navigate the keyboard.

This is a feature packed receiver that offers top quality at a great price. Setup went fairly smooth, however it does take some time to figure out how to work all options. It does not come with a printed manual, but you can download and print one out. Sounds great!

              I Like This Receiver

              By Iluvtv

              from Columbia, SC

Comments about Onkyo TX-NR626 7.2-Channel Network A/V Receiver:

My old Onkyo blew a video circuit after 8 years of continuous use. I had wanted to get a new receiver someday with more than 100 watts per channel, wifi, Bluetooth, on screen display more HDMI in/outs and an remote control with fewer buttons. But when I saw this unit for only $ I decided I really didn't need more than 100 watts per channel because it does have everything else. It's lighter and smaller than my old receiver and it has a better Audessy set up. I just don't see how you can go wrong with this one. I can even play stuff on my computer. Wish it had a built in Roku but it does have access to streaming audio services.

Comments about Onkyo TX-NR626 7.2-Channel Network A/V Receiver:

Purchased to replace Tx-nr609 which worked great until it suddenly died. (To their credit Onkyo fixed it for free, including round trip shipping, even though it was way off warranty). Got a great price, sound is a bit better than the 609, no THX modes, which makes it simpler IMHO, and sounds just great.
Easy setup, more inputs than most will need, plus I have my phono back - it has a real phono input.
Plenty of power for my NYC Apt. Setup, 6 Boston speakers, sub, toshiba led TV, LG Blu-Ray, Twc cable, Roku, turntable

The receiver is exactly what it was stated to be. I especially like the dedicated phono/record player connection since I still have a lot of records.

However, what I most appreciated was B&H's service. The product was delivered quickly and there was no call to upsell me like some of the other NY retailers. I will definitely order from them again.

Great receiver. Good value for the price. Easy setup and fantastic sound. Bought two of them. One for the family room downstairs and one for the game room upstairs.

Receiver has been great thus far with good power per channel levels. My friends have had Onkyo in the past and have had HDMI switching issues, but I haven't had any thus far

Replaced an existing onkyo and it sounds and works great. The price was assume for the product. My one complaint is that the labels on the buttons are very hard to read, even in good light. I assume they expect you are going to use the remote all the time.

Comments about Onkyo TX-NR626 7.2-Channel Network A/V Receiver:

After doing much research, I decided to go with the TX-NR626 receiver and I have to say that I am so glad I did. This receiver has everything you need for a regular Home Theatre setup. Plenty of HDMI inputs (6), USB and BlueTooth plus 7.2. I love having one cable running to my TV. I currently have 10 year old Onkyo speakers connected to it using 5.1 and they sound great. I can't imagine what it will sound like when I upgrade and take advantage of 7.2. My theatre room is 22x22 and my current setup fills the room with sound. The only thing that is better than this receiver is the service and price I received from B&H...truly unbeatable.

Great Receiver, easy set up and easy to use and all at a great price. The only think negative, is that it does not come with a "How To" book, but luckily it is user friendly and easy to figure out.

After talking to B&H product support prior to purchasing and Onkyo 24/7 support there were no problems that could not be resolved. The installation was as close to flawless as possible.
B&H offered various speakers that would work with the receiver that help me budget the project
