  • 1Description

The silver Nikon COOLPIX S3500 Digital Camera is a point-and-shoot equipped with a 20.1MP image sensor and the EXPEED C2 image-processing engine. It also has a 7x optical zoom NIKKOR ED lens with a focal length of 4.7-32.9 (35mm equivalent: 26-182mm). The lens has a maximum aperture of f/3.4 at the wide-angle end and f/6.4 at telephoto. Frame shots and view playback on the 2.7" LCD monitor, which has a resolution of 230k pixels and anti-reflection coating. The S3500 records HD 720p videos with sound and offers a dedicated one-touch button to immediately start your recording. The optional EG-CP14 A/V cable allows you to connect your camera to an HDTV for clear large screen viewing of your videos.

Lens-shift Vibration Reduction compensates for camera shake and helps minimize blur in photos taken in low light or at longer focal lengths. When you don't want to worry about camera settings, the S3500 provides numerous assistive features. Scene Auto Selector automatically picks the optimal camera settings based on the scene the camera reads or, if you prefer, choose from 20 distinct scenes the one that closest matches what you are shooting and the camera will select the best settings. Subject Tracking locks on to moving subjects and keeps focus right where you want it and Motion Detection recognizes a moving subject and adjusts the camera's settings to freeze the action. Smart Portrait System activates several features to take the ideal portrait. In addition, Special Effects are available during shooting to add an artistic touch, Quick Effects can be applied after shooting and an enhanced Glamour retouch function will add dynamism and a touch of beauty to your portraits. The S3500 also supports the optional Eye-Fi wireless memory cards for wireless transfer to smart devices.

20.1MP Sensor and EXPEED C2 Processor
The camera's image sensor has a high resolution of 20.1MP and works with the EXPEED C2 image processing engine to produce clear, detailed photos and videos
26-182mm NIKKOR Lens
The S3500 features a 7x optical zoom NIKKOR ED lens with a focal length of 4.7-32.9 (35mm equivalent: 26-182mm). The lens features a maximum aperture range of f/3.4-6.4. The lens features ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass, which allows for superior sharpness and color correction by minimizing chromatic aberration. ED glass offers all the benefits of calcium fluorite-based glass--with none of the drawbacks.
2.7" LCD Monitor
The 2.7" TFT LCD screen features a 230k-pixel resolution and an anti-reflection coating for improved visibility in bright sunlight.
Video
Capture HD 720p video and, thanks to the built-in microphone, accompanying audio.
Image Stabilization
Lens-shift Vibration Reduction helps minimize the blur caused by camera shake, especially in dim light and at telephoto focal lengths.
Motion Blur Reduction
The camera automatically selects faster shutter speeds to compensate for subject movement when it's picked up via the Motion Detection function. Motion Blur Reduction, like Vibration Reduction in the lens, also helps the camera compensate for movement caused by unsteady hands, in order to prevent blurry shots.
80-1600 ISO Sensitivity
High ISO sensitivity permits the maximum use of available natural light, avoiding the need for flash or long exposure times. By enabling the selection of faster shutter speeds, it also makes it easier to capture fast-moving subjects with greater clarity. Low ISO provides rich, saturated colors.
Smart Portrait System
Each of the advanced functions of the Smart Portrait System is designed to help produce consistently great portraits.
Scene Auto Selector/Easy Auto Mode
These functions provide quick, carefree picture-taking in a variety of situations by determining the subject and surrounding conditions, then automatically selecting the appropriate scene mode for the shot.
Subject Tracking
Follows the movement of your subject as you shoot. The focus will remain on the subject no matter where or how fast it goes.
Effects
Special effects can be added to your image before shooting, while quick effects can be applied after shooting and during playback. Also benefit from an enhanced Glamour retouch function.
Memory
Supports Eye-Fi wireless memory cards for wireless image transfer.
