The black PowerShot SX280 HS Digital Camera from Canon is a compact point-and-shoot camera with a 12.1MP CMOS sensor and the DIGIC 6 image processor which creates sharp, high-resolution photos and Full HD 1080/60p videos. It provides a 20x optical zoom lens with a 35mm focal length equivalency of 25-500mm for a full range of shooting options from wide-angle to super-telephoto. Built-in Wi-Fi connectivity allows you to transfer images wirelessly to your computer and by downloading Canon's free CameraWindow app you can instantly pass images to your iOS or Android devices and share them. A GPS Tracking device marks the location all your shots were taken and allows you to create maps of your shooting with free Canon software.
The SX280 HS offers effective low light performance up to ISO 6400 and its optical image stabilizer provides compensation for camera shake, creating photos with significantly less blur when shooting in low light or at long focal lengths. Intelligent Image Stabilization will automatically choose from six different IS modes to optimize performance based on the shooting conditions.
Full HD 1080p video capture is supported, including shooting at 60fps for smoother, more natural looking video, especially when shooting dynamic motion. Smart Auto mode selects the best camera setting based on 58 predefined shooting situations and New Hybrid Auto utilizes a combination of Smart Auto and Intelligent IS to create a beautiful and sharp 720p HD video clip in Movie Digest mode.

Comments about PowerShot SX280 HS Digital Camera (Black):
I am a true amateur shooter. Vacations, events etc. Camera takes super nice pictures and has tons of features. The battery is something of a let down. Especially if you have the GPS turned on it will suck the life out of that battery very fast. Also the Wi-Fi is a bit difficult to use and is not very intuitive. Overall, nice small camera with a lot of features.

Comments about PowerShot SX280 HS Digital Camera (Red):
I mostly use this camera to take pictures of trips and parties with friends. I'm not particularly good at taking pictures but this camera has everything. Good image quality, great display, flash is amazing. Has good attributes: GPS, WiFi, different image effects. I love it and recommend it.

Comments about PowerShot SX280 HS Digital Camera (Red):
After lugging camera equipment, including multiple lenses for film cameras, and then more than one lens for DSLR throughout the continental US and Canada, I am delighted with the convenience and versatility of this little gem! My photography is just for personal albums, with no ambition for winning contests, etc., but this camera could probably give the other guys competition in that regard as well.

Comments about PowerShot SX280 HS Digital Camera (Black):
I bought this camera for its portability and for its zoom capability. This will be with me at all times as it fits so easily into my pocket or purse. I am very pleased with the image quality so far. I am not sure I will use the wireless feature as I am a non-techy grandma in that area. But I find the camera easy to use as it is similar enough to my my G1 X.
