The Canon EOS C100 EF Camera with 24-105mm f/4L Lens constitutes a remarkable pairing of camera and lens. The camera features a Super 35mm CMOS image sensor and the DIGIC DV III image processor for capturing cinematic video with shallow depth of field, 12-stops of dynamic range and exceptional low-light sensitivity. The lens offers an extensive focal length range, a constant maximum aperture of f/4 and Canon's USM auto focus technology. Independent event videographers and video production organizations will appreciate the EOS C100's cinema quality imaging capabilities and its compact, modular form factor.

Comments about Canon EOS C100 Cinema EOS Camera with 24-105mm f/4L Lens:
This is the camera I've been waiting for. I always had a few requirements to upgrade from a DSLR to a sub 10K camera, a 35mm sensor, ND Filters, dual SD or CF cards, and ergonomics. This camera hit all those requirements for me with a few minor pitfalls. The lack of frame rate choices is frustrating but for my shooting style isn't a deal breaker. AVCHD isn't ideal yet again for what I do it isn't a deal breaker. In my opinion this camera is a much better option then the AF100 and FS100. Canon glass is the king and neither of those two camera actively take them without buying a expensive converters. ND filters are very important when you're shooting with these cameras and only the AF supports that yet has a tiny sensor. Now that this camera is out of the 8k range it's a no brainer. The bottom line is if you're shooting corporate or doc style video this camera will fit your needs perfectly. If you're looking for the best image and don't care about annoying rigs and back end work snatch up a Blackmagic Cinema Camera or RED Scarlet.

Comments about Canon EOS C100 Cinema EOS Camera with 24-105mm f/4L Lens:
As a commercial videographer that also does some documentary work as well, this camera is a god send. It's also a major step up from shooting on the 5d as well. The c100 is very easy to operate...it feels like a real video camera with its xlr inputs, focus assists and ND filters...the ergonomics is also great and the camera is well balanced. I got the kit lens with the camera and its quite nice...not as good as the 2.8 24-70mm image wise but its more than adequate. The fact that the c100 produces such a great image at high iso's is also fantastic when you find yourself in lowlight situations. For those worried about the avchd codec..don't!!! It handles a great surprising well and if you are in need of a more robust codec then strap a ninja on and you have high quality images at 4:2:2.
The EVF is really the onto thing on the camera that is a con...it really is not usable.
It's a great camera overall and when you take into consideration the 1000 rebate its worth every penny.
