The kit also includes a Photo Creator Green Screen Kit from Savage. Just photograph a subject in front of the included 5.0 x 7.0' green chromakey background, upload the photos and the kit's software will allow you to drop one of 720 exotic or photogenic backgrounds behind the subject. Comments about Impact Soft and Natural Creator 4 Socket 2 Light Kit:

I'm very happy with this product. I use it primarily to light video recording for an online course I provide. I was considering buying similar less expensive kits, but many of the reviews for products in lower price ranges described the flimsy nature of the stands, the breaking of plastic clamps and other parts, and not being able to replace them. Though the prices were tempting, I figured if it broke, I would just be throwing the money away. So in the end, I decided to spend a bit more on a "first" kit.

So far, I'm happy. It was easy to set up. The stands are made of metal, though the clasps and knobs are plastic. Fortunately, they are more along the lines of "rubberized" plastic which is fairly tough. The screws themselves are metal.

It comes with two carry cases for each of the softboxes, but you'd have to sort out something for the stands and the light fixtures as they don't have carrying cases. When setting up the light boxes, the key is to put the rod that is located at the slit LAST (this will make sense when you get the kit). I didn't, because you know, what kind of guy actually reads the instructions first. Even so, getting that last support rod in takes a bit of work because the tension is pretty tight at that (like getting that last corner of a tight fitted sheet onto a mattress). For this reason, I don't think it would be so easy to take this apart and set it up regularly. If the last corner weren't so tight, it would be pretty carefree. In any event, I'm not looking for portability so it's not an issue for me, though you may want to consider this if you plan to use it as a mobile kit.

There are four bulbs in each of the fixtures (thanks for including them!), and I was expecting a series of switches so that you could turn on 1, 2, 3 or 4 lights depending on your lighting needs. But there is just a single on-off switch. It's easy enough to lift a corner of the softbox skin and unscrew one of the bulbs a bit to "turn it off", but if the kit had this feature, it would be primo.

This is my first venture into studio lighting, so it meets my needs. I am happy with the quality, and I spent some extra money to make sure I got something that wouldn't break as easily as the less expensive kits. I took a risk because there were no reviews at the time, so I thought important to post this one.
