With the exception of the plastic chains (the key ingredient), this system is well designed, easy to set up and a great addition to a studio managing multiple backdrops. However, this set comes with plastic chains, although Manfrotto makes metal chains. The plastic chains will break very easily and cause much frustration. I highly recommend ordering the metal chains with this system and save yourself the frustration of hand rolling your backdrops.

These Autopoles are fantastic I have used the older model for years and these are much beter, The handle operates easier also the compression at the top makes it easier to use. The quality is fabulous. For a travelling photographer who needs a portable studio these are indespensible.
