Comments about Axis Communications M2014-E Network Bullet Camera:

Easy to setup, good quality, good value. The only strange part is that the camera comes with an attached 8m cable that has an shielded RJ12 plug on the end, which plugs into the main body. The main body isn't weather proof, so you have to use either a box, or put it inside. The main body has the Ethernet and power ports, as well as the micro SD slot.

I was able to configure it in a few minutes. I installed a 16gb micro SD card and set it up to record. I was getting about 1 day worth of video on the card at full resolution and 1 FPS.

Overall a pretty nice camera. It has directions on how to shorten the length of the cable, but it requires that you have a shielded RJ12 jack to do so. It would be nice if one was included.

Comments about Axis Communications M2014-E Network Bullet Camera:

I have been purchasing Axis hardware for quite some time. They are absolutely the best IP cameras on the market. The downside is the cost. I was looking for several small cameras to use outdoors, under the eaves of a barn. These cameras were simple to install and offer stellar video performance for their price point. The configuration is simple even for a newbee and the on board server software is powerful (like all of their products). I have two of these and can see obtaining more in the future. The only downside of this product is it's low light performance and minimum exposure setting but I did not intend to use this as a low light camera. Larger optics would lend itself to a pricier camera. Note: you need POE (which I knew) for this camera, otherwise you have to purchase or make an AC adapter.
