Comments about MDR-EX100IP iOS Earbuds (White):

Sound quality is good. Button on microphone works well for interacting with my iphone 5s. People I am talking to on the phone say they can hear me when I am talking into the headset. Ear buds fit well and exclude sound well.

Comments about MDR-EX100IP iOS Earbuds (White):

At the shop I was recommended and picked up one of these instead of what I had in mind.
It sounds good, but not made to last- too thin, shaped to be broken, and remote located at the odd length.

      Do not get this one.

I'm admitted obsessed audiophile - lots of high end equipment for 24 bit listening, But I was so amazed by Sony's MDR-EX100IP iOS Earbuds that I bought a second pair. Why, you might ask, would an obsessed audiophile by inexpensive earbuds? I bought them for using with my iPhone on power-walks. And when I first listened to them I was stunned by several things:1. Their 'natural' sound. I beta test high end equipment for manufacturers I know in the industry - $ headphone amps. My ears have discovered that manufacturers distinguish their products by shaping their headphones with their particular sound signatures. Their 'natural' sound. I beta test high end equipment for manufacturers I know in the industry - $ headphone amps. My ears have discovered that headphone manufacturers distinguish their products by shaping their headphones with their particular sound signature. In general, all Sennheiser headphones have a similar sound - like all Porsches have a similar sound. This sound signature envelops the music, and plays a signifcant part in shaping its personality. By using the word 'natural' I mean Sony hasn't added much, if any, signature to their earbuds. What was recorded is what you get ...2. They offer incredibly clear, true bass without coloring the other sound ranges - mid-range and treble.3. They have a very wide soundstage - especially for their dininutive size. Why would I order a second pair? Because it's just possible Sony might not make anything like them again, at least at this price point. If you buy them, I doubt if you'll be disappointed ...

The headphones produce adequate sound. They seem to fall out of my ears while running. The loudness/iPhone control is hard to operate without taking left headphone out of my ear. The ergonomics of the control unit requires some work for sure (maybe more grippy material for one?). Over all a decent set of headphones for the price, but some of the issues could have been fixed.

These are much better headphones then the S4ii models are are the best headphones with these features in terms of specs for your dollar. No cons really that I can see.
