Comments about D-Link DCS-2332L Outdoor HD Wireless Day/Night Cloud Camera:

This camera has good daylight video quality. Wireless connection seems to work well between living room and office (while testing). Night vision is mushy - not as clear as I expected.

It can email images using SSL encrypted smtp connections (StartTLS), but must use port 587 to work.

Configuring motion detected snapshots (PIR and/or video detection) is finicky to actually capture image walking by camera. Seems to often capture too early or too late. Probably works best for moving images that lingre in the area. It doesn't reliably record to multiple destinations simultaneously - you must tag priority recording preference for multiple triggers.

I like the micro-SD card storage capability. And, that it can also record to my network drive using Samba or FTP connections. However FTP does not create auto-generated time-stamped sub-folders like the Samba network connection or microSD card connections do.

This camera seems to work fairly well. But, I'm only giving this camera 3 stars because the User Manual is truly terrible and literally of no use. D-Link needs to do a better job of explaining feature operation and configuration settings.

Figuring out manual-configuration of its many advanced features definitely requires the talents of advanced network users. Luckily I have experience manually configuring numerous other TrendNet IP cameras. This was my first D-Link camera. I wanted a good outdoor grade camera. Hopefully this one will workout.

Comments about D-Link DCS-2332L Outdoor HD Wireless Day/Night Cloud Camera:

Be aware that if you are running a newer OS, Mac Mavericks or Win 8, My D-Link will not work. The camera does exactly what I expected, but IE 11 is not supported in Windows and Apple has blocked java in their latest system.
I spoke with D-Link tech support this morning and they are supposed to be working on a fix for this. Ironically, the iPad app worked just fine for me.
Because My D-link doesn't work I can only view one camera locally with the admin interface. I wish I had known this prior to buying the cameras...
I may have figured out a work-around for this to view two cameras locally on my network. I dedicated a browser, Opera in my case, to view the camera. I believe by simply opening the second camera in a new tab I can see both cameras, albeit switching between tabs to see them.
This is very poor service, being that far behind in software development.

Comments about D-Link DCS-2332L Outdoor HD Wireless Day/Night Cloud Camera:

It is weather reistant and very durable but it was not very easy to set up recording. It comes with a quick set-up guide but you will need to call the Dlink business department to complete the setup if your not really computer savvy, because this unit is considered business quality. The video quality is pretty good, you could make out a person about 30 feet away in the day time, and the night vision is ok, works about 10 feet away. It was real easy to download the app and to view the cameras on my smartphone online any where I go. Overall, this product is better than other security systems I have had in the past. Expect long wait times if you call Tech support, hopefully they will work on this. I have been waiting inexcess of twenty-five minutes at any given time of the day.
