It's a normal lens that generates images look natural to a human observer. And it's great.
Comments about 80mm f/4 Mamiya 7 Lens:
Don't let the expression standard lens mislead you. This is a crisp, contrasty lens, with stunning center to edge sharpness. The contrast and bokeh render particularly beautiful black & white negatives. The focal length is smart. You get the benefit of a slightly wider field of view than a 50mm would afford you on a 35mm system, while maintaining distortion free, super straight lines. Excellent as a single travel lens for shooting landscapes, people, architecture, or anything you run across. I would stack this against any 80mm on the market, and considering the image quality and price, you rarely come across values like this.
