The CP1350PFCLCD PFC Sinewave Series UPS from CyberPower solves the critical compatibility issues of non-sine wave UPS products working with computing systems using Active PFC power supplies (ENERGY STAR 5.0).

The UPS safeguards mid- to high-end computer systems, servers and networking hardware that use conventional and Active Power Factor Correction (PFC) power supplies.

The CP1350PFCLCD has a capacity of 1350VA/810W, ten (10) NEMA 5-15R receptacles and two (2) maintenance-free, user-replaceable 12V/7AH batteries. The intelligent multifunction LCD panel displays real-time UPS vitals for ease of control, and the UPS includes two (2) 5VDC USB 2.0 charging ports for portable devices such as mobile phones, MP3 players, and cameras.

Lastly, the UPS' EMI/RFI filters increase the immunity of the load to noise disturbances.

PFC Sinewave UPS Systems
A battery backup that adapts to multiple applications and requirements-from home/office use to enterprise environments. It provides pure sine wave protection for computer systems, networking hardware, servers, home theater equipment, telecom systems and other sensitive electronics with Active PFC or conventional power supplies. With pure sine wave output, it solves the incompatibility issues experienced when a non-sine wave UPS is attached to equipment using active PFC power supplies by providing continuous power output-preventing unexpected shutdowns or damaging stress when switching from AC to UPS battery power
Transformer-Spaced Outlets
Ten widely-spaced outlets accommodate large transformer-based plugs without compromising the utility of other outlets

Comments about CyberPower CP1350PFCLCD PFC Sinewave Series UPS:

This is a great battery backup device. I use on on my home theater system to make certain my still DVR records in case of a power failure. LCD display is very informative and the pure sine wave output does not degrade operation of connected audio/video devices. I have one of the earlier models of this UPS on my computer system as well.

Comments about CyberPower CP1350PFCLCD PFC Sinewave Series UPS:

I just use this for what it's intended for.

Provides the proper power with PFC power supplies and other electronics that prefer non-approximated/stepped sine wave battery power. No other product I know of in this price range does this. It's why I switch from an APC Back-UPS Pro 1500G to this. I don't really need the extra 90watts so I opted for this one. Other than the battery power, it's your standard UPS for the most part. I've called into tech support a couple times, which has been surprisingly wonderful. Has two front USB ports. That's new. The two top sockets are highly separated from the rest. Uhh, there is a good amount of space for the other ports as well. Huge connected equipment lifetime guarantee. Definitely register your product for that. It has that Green Energy saving tech in it. Read about it. It bypasses the transformer unlike the other companies which use it all the time. Much more efficient this way.

TIPS!! Plug the UPS into something like CyberPower's CSB300W wall surge protector - I just chose this because of the wonderful price coupled with the joule rating. Also has a huge connected equipment guarantee and lifetime limited warranty. This will serve to protect your UPS in case of a surge. It will either shunt/ground the surge or blow the MOV's. Much better to blow the MOV's in this than blow the MOV's and the circuit in your UPS. CyberPower has us pay for shipping to them and then they cover shipping back to us. $5.58 is less than it would cost to ship this 20lb thing.
Once the battery status says 100%, unplug it from the wall for a few minutes with the unit on, until the battery level stabilizes. This will calibrate it.
Sometimes something like a receiver will have a huge power draw on startup. If you know this, turn everything off so the output wattage reads 0 or as low as you can go, then turn on the power hungry device. The UPS may switch to battery power. This is normal. It's stabilizing and providing level power to the device. It will only do this for a few seconds, then switch back to the utility power. After this is done, then turn on the rest of the stuff.

It doesn't have master controlled outlets like the APC, but I could care less. Don't think it's possible to dim the lighting, but again, it can be turned off completely. It's not very bright anyway. It's pretty darn hard to plug in stuff initially, but that's normal. It's easier after it's first broken in.

Comments about CyberPower CP1350PFCLCD PFC Sinewave Series UPS:

I have been using this UPS for 5 months and it has done a great job. An unexpected bonus has been that it stabilizes the line voltage during brownouts. When someone starts a motorized appliance, such as a vacuum cleaner, the line voltage in my house can drop below 90V for a few seconds. My computer and peripherals never see that drop with this UPS. It holds the voltage at 120V.

The only complaints I have are the on/off switch and beeper. You have to hold the button in for several seconds to turn the UPS on or off. You have to hold it long enough for the UPS to beep once when turning on and twice when turning off. The main problem is that it's an irritatingly loud beep. Since the beeper also acts as the alarm, it can't be turned off. Turn the UPS on or off and everyone in the neighborhood knows.

Comments about CyberPower CP1350PFCLCD PFC Sinewave Series UPS:

This is the only real sine wave UPS you'll fine at this price point. It's a bit taller than the AVR version, but it also has more outlets.
I use on my workstation which has a large (1100W) Active PFC power supply. Although this unit only support 810W, my workstation never goes up that high. I'm typically running in the 240-300W range (it has a widget that can monitor power consumption).

Nice quality and works as it should. This is the only USP line that is specifically designed for active PFC power supplies. I just built a new PC with a Corsair PSU, which has active PFC technology, and didn't want to take any chances with my older APC UPS. I bought this one and replaced the APC. No regrets!

This supports my 850W PFC PSU very easily. My computer doesn't draw more than 390W total anyway but like this I have time to shut it down if necessary. It is more compact than the APC it replaces and the USB ports are great to recharge my phone. 3 years warranty is a plus. Would recommend it.

Comments about CyberPower CP1350PFCLCD PFC Sinewave Series UPS:

Great product, generally. Easy to install/use, and they work. Will keep my Phenom dual-core desktop and monitor running for almost 40 minutes. We've gotten a few duds, which were quickly replaced by CPS. The PowerPanel software needs a few fixes as well; the self-test isn't always accurate. A better way to self-test is to disconnect the unit from the wall, and see what happens to the battery indicator on the LCD display: if it immediately drops to 50% or below, it's probably bad. It would also be nice if PowerPanel could email me if something goes wrong.
