The PR1000LCD Mini-Tower Uninterruptible Power Supply from CyberPower provides backup power essential to keeping your electronics running during a power outage. This power supply comes equipped with pure sine wave technology ensuring a constant flow of high quality clean power, while the full automatic output regulation feature keeps the voltage within a safe operating range to reduce the risk of damage to connected devices.

Along with enhanced voltage protection, you can monitor the UPS via the integrated LCD control panel complete with a 4.5' extension cable providing easy access when the UPS is located in hard-to-reach areas. Once configured, your connected devices are protected up to $375,000 should any of those devices become damaged as a result of the power supply.

Pure Sine Wave
When operating on battery power, the Smart App Sinewave UPS outputs power with a pure sine wave that is identical to or cleaner than the power from the utility company grid, free of harmonic distortion and electrical noise, resulting in optimal line clarity.
LCD Control Panel
The LCD interface enables users to check UPS status, manage UPS setup and control, run a variety of tests and calibrate the battery. Status and log menus provide UPS vitals including input and output voltage levels, battery information, run-time estimates, load information, event and fault logging, and other system information. The setup and control menus offer users the ability to customize their PR1000LCD UPS to their specific parameters of operation including shutdown options, voltage sensitivity, alarm settings and other parameters. The test menu enables self testing and battery calibration to ensure your UPS is operating correctly.
Removable LCD Control Panel
The LCD control panel on the PR1000LCD can be removed and relocated for easy viewing using the attached 4.5' cable. This feature provides easy access to view status or change settings on the UPS when it's installed in a hard-to-reach area such as the bottom of a rack, under a desk, in an IT closet, or on the floor.
Full Automatic Voltage Regulation
Full AVR boost/buck technology stabilizes the AC voltage by increasing low voltages and decreasing high voltages to maintain a safe voltage level without switching to battery-mode. This conserves battery life, and delivers cleaner AC power to connected equipment.
Energy-Saving Technology
Patented GreenPower UPS advanced bypass circuitry reduces UPS energy consumption by up to 75% compared to competitive models. This unique design also reduces the amount of heat generated by the UPS.
Ultra-Quiet Design
Advanced efficiency design (reduced fan operation), high-end system components, and GreenPower UPS technology help minimize sound emissions.
Tamper-proof Power Button
The power button has been specifically designed to minimize the chance the UPS can be turned off or interfered with by accident.
EMI/RFI Filters
Filters against electromagnetic interference and radio frequency interference ensure clean power for connected equipment.
Audible Alarms
Distinctive tones identify when the unit is running on battery power, if it is overloaded, or when the battery is low.

Comments about CyberPower PR1000LCD Mini-Tower Uninterruptible Power Supply:

After series of power outages, we looked for a UPS that can protect our data / hard drives on recently purchased synology NAS. Did some research on trade-offs and finally placed order of PR1000LCD at B&H. Reason for PR vs. CP: PR series has full AVR (could be more tolerating to generator, not yet tried), longer battery run time and more options in setup / softwares. LCD display was informative but a few lines were missing at beginning of power-up. After a few hours breaking-in the problem went away and has been no issues. I really like the display and setup capability. I was curious about 4ms transfer time as in spec. All connected equipments, plasma tv, blu-ray, Asus 68u router, motorola 6121 modem, of course main reason, Synology 214+ and WD external hard drive, worked fine when UPS is unplugged / plugged back in. Fan only kicks in when on battery power, noise is noticeable but tolerable. runtime is a little over 3 hours with router, modem, NAS and external hard drive.

Connected PR's USB to windows 8.1 computer and downloaded Powerpanel Business Edition (2.5). A little bit challenging at beginning to figure out the email notification (smtp mail server setup) but once set and done, it sends out email notification as instructed. Connected PR's USB to Synology 214+: NAS immediately recognized the UPS and set up was easy. UPS and NAS functioned as intended: NAS recognizes power outage / on battery and shuts down both NAS and UPS before battery runs out). Overall the product was well-designed / built and provides a piece of mind on data equipments

Comments about CyberPower PR1000LCD Mini-Tower Uninterruptible Power Supply:

I purchased the CyberPower PR1000LCD to replace an older Belkin FC650 Pro Gold (which will get a new battery for use with an older Mac and a TV).

I needed a UPS that would protect against transient surges and brownouts as well as total power failures. I also wanted pure sine wave output. After that, the features that influenced my decision include:
        connected equipment guarantee
ability to communicate with a Mac
        user replaceable batteries
        energy saving mode
        8 outlets
        quiet
        removable front display panel

This last feature is one I hadn't considered until I read about it in the description; but after using it, I would not buy another UPS without it (or something equally functional). In the nearly inaccessible space behind my computer, I can now get to both the display and the outlets without moving anything.

So far, I have only two minor complaints.
First, a large AC adapter block can cover the next outlet. Technically, this is not the fault of the UPS, but of accessory designers who don't think ahead about how their products will actually be used. It is also easily solved by use of a short heavy duty 3 outlet extension cord.
Second, while the removable display will stand on its own, the slightest touch will knock it over. Some sort of slide out or folding support would be a very welcome addition.
And, yes, the unit is large and heavy, but that will be the case with any comparable UPS. This one seems very solid and well made.

My computer is a Mac,  so I haven't used the included (Windows only) software. But the Mac recognizes the unit and adds UPS options in the Energy Saver panel of System Preferences. Also, since I have not had a power failure after installing the PR1000LCD,  I can't comment on that aspect yet. However, I am fully confident that my equipment is well protected from any power problems.
