This is an extremely well made product with a nice rugged design. Leather is thick and the interior padding is built in with just 1 velcro divider. Holds Sony RX1, camera strap, view finder, and batter chargers perfectly (with some room) in the main compartment. Will also hold a Leica M9. Two side compartment are tight but perfect for my JOBY Micro 250 table top tripod. Front 2 compartments are also tight but excellent for extra memory cards, batteries and filters. There is also an open pocket in the back of the bag that will easily hold an ipad MINI secure but exposed (with it sticking out about and inch). It can not hold an ipad. Strap is adjustable and can be extended so even if you are tall this bag will work well for you. The bag does not scream "camera bag" making it a nice travel feature and the ONA logo is well placed on the side of the bag. If this is the style of bag you are looking for then I 100% would recommend this product.

One very small issue that ONA should look at is the loop that holds the closure strap in place offers a bit too much room, making it easy for the strap to slip out. It has not been an issue in about 3 weeks of use with but it is something that I make sure to pay attention to in my use of the bag.

Comments about Bowery Camera Bag (Leather, Antique Cognac):

I use this bag for my Canon 6D, 50mm f/1.2 and a bunch of miscellaneous stuff. It is a tight fit, but I think it helps force us photographers not to carry around too much! I'm hoping to be able to fit a flash in it as well. Some of the outside pockets need breaking in, and can't fit a whole lot (iPhone in one/memory cards in another). Overall, the bag is beautiful and looks well made, would definitely recommend. It isn't too big/too small either, just about the perfect size.

Comments about Bowery Camera Bag (Leather, Dark Truffle):

Great choice for Fujifilm X-E2 w/18-55mm lens. Love the understated appearance, rustic style leather, and the Dark Truffle colour. Recently switched over from Nikon gear to Fuji-X and needed a smaller profile bag for day shooting. This bag is minimal but easily holds camera with lens attached, wallet, sunglasses in case, phone, keys, extra battery and SD cards, plus a just few misc. very small size personal items. Highly recommend getting a 2-pack of extra ONA Small camera bag dividers for versatility.

This leather version of the Bowery is only slightly heavier than the waxed canvas - 2 lbs vs 1.4 lbs - but find this not a problem at all. I have a small frame and while wearing cross body it is completely comfortable all day carrying gear noted above. The wide strap is soft, pliable, and does not cut into the body. I did treat it with a clear leather conditioner before using.

Do wish the outer envelope style pockets had a little depth to them, but have adapted my belongings to fit just fine. The one thing to be aware of while moving about is to make sure the clasp is securely latched. Look forward to many years of using this bag as it is built like a tank.

I just LOVE this bag! It is perfectly stylish AND functional! Easily can fit a camera body and lens and a few other miscellaneous items! I was able to fit my iPad mini when I took out the insert. I even use the bag when I go out sans camera as it is THAT awesome - I get tons of complements and people are always shocked to hear that it's a camera bag!

Comments about Bowery Camera Bag (Leather, Dark Truffle):

This ONA bag is a piece of great craftsmanship. The Dark Truffle finish is incredibly waterproof (I know this because I got stuck in a Florida monsoon with my gear) and simultaneously very fashionable and stylish with a rugged texture and appearance.

The shape of the bag, however, sure feels like it is a purse. My wife says it looks like a purse, too. She should know... But I wanted a bag that was sized perfectly for my Leica M240 with 50 mm Summilux lens, plus a 35 mm Leica Summilux and a 21 mm lens in their leather cylinder cases, with the wall charger and a few B&W ND filters in their boxes. I store the camera lens down, which works out great for quick access.

My only warning about this bag, by the way, is that the single clasp needs to be secured solidly. And it may release with pressure. Since it is the only clasp holding the lid closed, failure to check its security could be CATASTROPHIC. I almost dropped my camera out of the bag once when I picked it up quickly, but noticed that the clasp was not secured. Fortunately, the bag was more or less upright, and the camera did not try to fall out of the bag.

The strap is awesome. It is wide enough on its pad to support the bag and gear very comfortably. I carry the bag in hot weather without complaint.

I like this bag so much, by the way, that I bought two other ONA bags. Haven't received the last one yet, but that one will be the one to carry my 13 in MacBook Pro laptop with camera gear. I'll probably pick this bag or that one depending on mission.

Comments about Bowery Camera Bag (Leather, Dark Truffle):

Short version: I like it a lot, but it definitely looks like a purse - that may or may not matter to you. I would probably opt for the waxed canvas one if I were to buy it again.

I originally had a Domke F2, and then downsized to a Domke F6, but still wanted something smaller. I rarely find myself shooting events anymore, and I'm mostly just taking photos during random walks around the city, or when I'm out running errands. I was initially going to get the Domke F5XB, but after reading about Ona, I thought I'd give the Bowery a try.

I think the bag is perfect for someone looking to downsize and really only carry the bare minimal camera equipment. It's definitely not meant for someone looking to haul several lenses/bodies/flashes/etc.

                I typically carry a combination of a Leica MP w/ a 35mm Summicron, and a Sony RX1; OR a Nikon FM3a w/ a 45mm AI-P, and the Sony RX1.

The cameras fit comfortably with their respective lenses attached. I like to keep the Lieca (or FM3a) flat, and the RX1 on it's side (grip side up). It's neither too tight, or too loose that I'm worried stuff will get damaged. I purchased extra dividers with the bag, but don't really use them since the way I store the bodies don't allow much room for anything else.

I also carry an extra roll of film or two, and a lens cloth. The small pockets in the front are good for a small notebook/pen, phone, etc. The side pocket holds my pocket knife, but it's a tight fit.

The padding is substantial, and the leather is quite thick. It should protect against most normal drops/bumps.

I almost feel like it's too thick, and I sometimes think I should have went with the canvas version. But I typically don't like waxed canvas for camera equipment since it can get "slick" in hot weather.

The clasp has an exposed bottom that quickly scratches the leather - not really a big deal, but a minor design flaw. My last, very minor, quibble about the bag would be the size...I think it could be an inch or two taller. That's mostly an aesthetic/personal thing, functionally I think it's fine. But it might look less like a purse if it was a little taller.

Overall, I would recommend the Bowery to anyone looking for an everday camera bag for smaller kits - but not for someone looking to carry a lot of gear.

Comments about Bowery Camera Bag (Leather, Antique Cognac):

I wanted a bag just large enough to fit my dslr and a lens (with the ability to have that lens be a hefty one) for those days that I don't want to cart additional lens/equipment around. This bag is just the right size, provides good padding, and doesn't scream "camera bag". It also provides an adjustable internal divider great for smaller lens days. The bag closes snugly over a D610, but while the closure strap is adjustable, I prefer the close fit. The hood of the bag is well designed to keep the weather out. The strap, while comfortable, does not provide any padding.

The leather, however, is of lesser quality than I expected. It's rather dry and marks/scratches easily as a result. While I had hoped that for the price, the leather would be more supple, I suppose it will gain character over time.

Comments about Bowery Camera Bag (Leather, Dark Truffle):

It is a rectangle, but seems like it will continue to relax and look less square camera-bag-ish after awhile. At least that's my hope. As someone else said, I'm not sure how well the leather version will work as a day bag/pack insert (again, maybe after it softens up), but I think it will work fine as is for travel to remove straps and put this in my carry-on. The padding is not quite as heavy duty as other standard camera bags (lowepro, tenba) but perfectly adequate, and the lighter padding is better as it's less stiff, allows the bag shape to relax.

The leather is thick, so the bag is not exactly lightweight. I doubt I'd be happy carrying this outdoors on a hot day, but for night and cool days, it's pretty great. I am concerned that the interior material is fragile, but have only been using it for a few weeks so can't judge yet. So far it's fine, but I am being careful with it.

I do feel perfectly comfortable that my camera is protected walking through crowds, and I don't feel like it's obvious there's a camera in the bag.

I carry a fuji x100s with strap, and sometimes a nikon speedlight, with very small wallet, keys, mints, phone, lipstick, extra battery, cleaning pen, and memory cards and that's it pretty much full with room for a few more small things (filters) in back slip pocket.

I'm reserving the extra star until I've had the bag for a while longer, but one wish is that there was a zipper pocket inside the bag. Don't know, but the exterior pockets may eventually stretch too much to securely hold very small items.

Comments about Bowery Camera Bag (Leather, Dark Truffle):

I use this with a Fuji X-E1. It easily fits the body and two lenses with hoods on with plenty of other things (spare batteries, wallet, phone, keys). I can get a third lens in there (currently using a lens pouch) but if so pretty much all lenses need to have their hoods stowed/reversed.

It is an attractive bag, with leather that seems like it will age very well and solid metal findings. Because of all the pockets, most of the bag is double-layered leather. It's very solid, but I don't know if I could imagine slipping it into another larger bag---it's just too large and heavy for that. (On its own, it feels light and easy.)

The side pockets initially appear unusably tight, but they stretch out quickly---I've been putting extra batteries in them, and now can use them easily.

I do wish it came with two dividers rather than one, though.

Comments about Bowery Camera Bag (Leather, Antique Cognac):

I bought this one as I always wanted a nice leather bag and this one really rocks! Patina haven, the leather smells really good. Strap is all leather, not the seatbelt variety. Grips but still slides around when you want it to unlike Domke which sticks. An inch taller than the F5xB and half in wider and WITHOUT the annoying Velcro. Has many outer pockets which are really handy and no zippers to be wary of. Easy to open and close and everything else is solid brass! Straps won't clang as the leather is thick and helps prevent the brass buckle from contacting the table when you put it down.
Perfect for mirror less when you don't have to lug so many things around.
Side pockets are tight as bag is new as leather is thick but supple. Love the leather.

Comments about Bowery Camera Bag (Leather, Dark Truffle):

This bag is made of quality leather and looks great. It's a bit heavy because of the materials, but it's fine. The interior, however, is a bit shabby, and not up to par quality/build wise as other lesser expensive bags.

Comments about Bowery Camera Bag (Leather, Antique Cognac):

It's a quality bag - but looks like a woman's purse for sure. Maybe it's the dimensions - but still looking for a good "manly" bag to carry. Needs one more divider included.
