The Outrigger 65 Backpack is a durable, sizable option with plenty of compartments and versatility for lugging your equipment around on foot. Provided with the bag are adjustable pieces of various sizes with velcro strips along each end for creating the perfect arrangement to best suit your specific gear.

The Good: The build quality of this pack is sturdy and obviously built to last and I can't stress enough just how roomy it is (I've easily fit 2 bodies: a T2i and a 1DS and two lenses: a 50mm and an 18-50mm, two chargers, cords and cleaning cloths and I'm still left with plenty of room to spare)

The Bad: My only problem with the bag is that it's not at all comfortable in terms of back support. Initially I thought this was an issue with how I'd gone about distributing the weight of everything in my bag but even with multiple attempts to shift and rearrange everything the problem persists. This isn't necessarily a deal breaker for me because the bag has so much to offer in terms of space, durability and versatility considering the price but for someone with a bit more to spend I'd recommend looking for at other options.

    Nice for the average shooter!

    By Andrew

Comments about Ruggard Outrigger 65 DSLR Backpack:

I love this bag. Enough room for most lenses of a professional shooter and great set up. You can fit up to 7 lenses, including a long lens like a 70-200 or 70-300. Nice convenient pockets for SDs, flash and other accessories. My only conplaint is that it could use side net pockets for mini tripods/monopods, but overall I think its a great little bag!

I carry an array of equipment with me when I shoot but I wasn't looking to lug a bunch of bags around. This bag is amazing choice and actually provides more space than advertised. I carry three dslr cameras (2 bodies and 1 Nikon with lens attached. Additionally I carry 7 additional lenses in the main compartment, as well as chargers for each camera, sd cards, cables, etc.

Definitely a smart buy for the New York shooter who needs protection mobility and gear flexibility.

I love the bag. It's just heavy for me to carry very long.

This is the second bag I got of this company after the first ripped on first use. This time the bag worked ok, nothing to be pleased with fully, then started to fall apart. The bag is not over stuffed and has fairly light equipment inside but it still managed to rip the shoulder strap and handle right off of it making it hard to carry. I intend to see how good the warranty on the bag is now. Borrow the money, save, indulge, whatever you need to do, to buy a better quality camera bag.

Comments about Ruggard Outrigger 65 DSLR Backpack:

Just purchased D800 from B&H and needed another backpack. I had received one in a special deal when I purchased a D3100 and found it protected the camera very well and allowed for easy carrying and easy access to the camera. This is a bigger backpack and works better with the d800. I have not been able to find anything better for my storage needs than this.

Received as a 'freebie' with a DSLR purchase. I would've rather had a rebate, however slight, than this monstrosity. It is just enormous, and hugely conspicuous as a result.
