The MHC-EC619IP's CD player can play MP3 files from CD-R and CD-RW discs in addition to conventional CDs. If you want some variety turn to the FM tuner for some talk or music. You can preset some of your favorite channels. Users can select up to FM 20 preset stations.

Your MHC-EC619IP has a clock and both sleep and wake timers so you can drift off to sleep with music and wake up to it too. The system also has inputs so you can plug in other devices, but for iPods and iPhones it's got an 8-pin Lightning connector that's compatible with most recent models. The included remote can control your iPod or iPhone in addition to the radio and CD functions.

It seems good so far. I don't know why it takes a second to respond when you press a button though. Otherwise I'm happy with it.

Comments about Sony MHC-EC619IP Mini Hi-Fi System with Lightning Connector:

This was a gift for my step-daughter and she doesn't have an apple phone. I assumed she could hook up her phone through the headphone jack and oddly, it doesn't have one, so the only way to play music from a device is if it is an apple device. Very poor planning.
