The FotodioX M42 Pro Lens Adapter with Aperture Flange for Canon EF-Mount Cameras is a high quality adapter that allows you to mount a M42 mount lens to a Canon EF-mount camera body. It features a brass construction with a stainless steel finish as well as the ability to focus to infinity. This works with a leaf spring system for a secure attachment of the lens to the adapter. Additionally, this adapter features an aperture flange for manually adjusting the aperture of the lens.

Although the lens will fit physically, automatic lens control and functions will not operate correctly while using this adapter. You can utilize aperture priority mode in combination with stop-down metering for automatic exposure control on your camera.

Comments about FotodioX M42 Pro Lens Adapter with Aperture Flange for Canon EF-Mount Cameras:

I use this with my Helios 77 that had an aperture pin. I went crazy trying to research how to file the pin down, etc.. but all I needed was this adapter.

Comments about FotodioX M42 Pro Lens Adapter with Aperture Flange for Canon EF-Mount Cameras:

I bought this to work with an old Helios-44m f2 58mm lens, that came with an old Zenit Camera. Works like a charm, it holds down the pin in the back of the lens so you can use all the fstops. It is a good quality build.

Comments about FotodioX M42 Pro Lens Adapter with Aperture Flange for Canon EF-Mount Cameras:

Nice stainless adapter. Surprised that the lens after screwing on lined up perfectly with the center line of the camera. Pushed in the aperture pin perfectly and felt very solid. Since it is a steel product it isn't light if a ounce or two matters to you.

Bought a cheapy fun manual 135mm f/2.8 lens made by Bushnell that used a m42 mount. This adapter fit between the lens and my EOS 30D without any trouble. Not tight or loose. Easy to unscrew and remove without any issues of having it getting stick. Well made aluminum adapter.
