• Interchangeable Capsules

The MX410's interchangeable capsules enable users to easily switch between cardioid and supercardioid polar patterns. The microphone is also available without a capsule.

• Desktop Preamplifier or Flush Mount Base

The microphone is available with a desktop stand/preamplifier or sold alone for flush mount installation into a desk or podium surface.

• LED Ring

The MX410 is also available with an LED light ring for a quick read on microphone status.

• Internal Wireless Transmitter

The MX890 wireless base features a built-in wireless microphone transmitter for use with SLX4 and SLX4L receivers. This eliminates the need to drill holes and run long cables for installation.

• Programmable Mute Switch

A programmable Mute switch includes push-to-talk and push-to-mute modes.

• IR Link to SLX Receivers

An Infra-Red (IR) link remotely synchronizes frequency and channel information with the SLX receivers.

• Efficient Battery Power

The MX890 is conveniently powered on two AA alkaline batteries.

• UHF Diversity

The SLX4 receiver features UHF diversity reception. Dual receivers compete for the strongest possible reception, reducing noise and dropout due to RF interference.

• Balanced XLR Connectors (M/F)

At each end, XLR connectors either have three pins (M) or sockets (F) within a locking metal shell. They are commonly used in professional audio applications to connect microphones, mixers, recording equipment and other gear. On typical XLR components, pin 1 is the positive signal line, pin 2 is the negative signal line and pin 3 is the ground/shield. This pin combination facilitates top-quality, low-noise, balanced audio, even across long-distance cable runs.

• Phantom Power

XLR cables are also capable of carrying DC "phantom power" to microphones on both the plus and minus signal lines. Shotgun and lavalier microphones typically use either phantom power or on-board batteries.

• Shielded Ground

The third pin is connected to a copper-wound shield. Wrapped around the other two wires, this shield provides both an interference-blocking barrier and a grounded connection.
